I responded to that comment, poking fun at your tone, which may have led you to believe that you warned me. Or that I had been constructively warned at that time.
To be honest, I never really understood the rules about hotlinking until right now. (And again, I'm not challenging the warning, I'm just letting you know. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.) Just keep in mind that it is a really lame warning. That's all I'm asking.
I actually don't mind warnings, per se. They just make me sexier. Right ladies?
The real losers in this incident were the poor people who were deprived of my presence for the 24 hours that I was banned. That blood is on your hands. I'm just glad to see that pretty much everyone survived that particular horror... somehow.

If the advice is really expected to be seen and absorbed, it should probably be placed in a new post and/or a PM to ensure that it is actually seen.

People can laugh at a disturbingly wide array of things, so the test of "if people laugh, it's ok" doesn't fly. It does indicate that you might be on a similar mental level. Personally, I'm not that offended, so some of you can get over telling people to get over themselves. I'm not here to be the "grownup" that validates juvenile bullshit by getting in a twist over it.

There's going to be a global announcement in every forum shortly on the hotlinking/image leaching issue. It's always been against the rules to hotlink, however the issue has become more of a problem in the last few weeks. It seems as though a lot of people don't understand why it's a bad thing, or what it is, and hopefully the announcement can help address the issue.

I would prefer that we not start taking potshots at each other. I've read through this entire thread and have not seen any evidence of trolling. With four mods in this forum one of us would have said something if there was any of that going on.
