Movies that really move you...

God help me, I'm such a sap. Ghost. There, I said it. I usually choke up by the time the penny moves....

We're in good company. I sniffle and bawl through particular scenes in Ghost every single time. And I don't even like Demi Moore.

The film "Amen." always gets me. I doubt many of you have seen it, though, but I highly suggest it.

Someone mentioned "Glory" and I'd agree with that.

And how can no one mention "The Wrath of Khan"?

I'm such a loser but I'll admit that the Order 66 scene and the "I hate you!" scene in "Revenge of the Sith" makes me really sad.

The LOTR saga, especially ROTK.

Almost any movie where a faithful dog saves his/her master and has to be put down. Guaranteed to make me weep like a child, every time.

Toy Story 2, Jessie's story. Oh so sad.

Wall-E.

Schindler's List. The "I should have saved one more" speech kills me every time.

Saving Private Ryan.

I am sure that I am forgetting some.

This is why I've only ever seen Old Yeller once. I just can't make myself watch it again.

Even Lassie Come Home... sure, Lassie survives, but the hobo's little dog who dies trying to protect her human from the robbers... this movie was on the other night, and as much as I love Roddy McDowall at any age (he was just a kid in this one), I remembered the scene with those awful robbers killing the little dog, and couldn't watch it after all.

Driving Miss Daisy is a movie I really enjoy watching whenever I see it. To see actors with the level of talent that Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy interact the way they did in the film....it's just very touching. Given that it was also base don a turbulent time in America's past, it adds realism to the plot and the film overall. That, and the scene with in the nursing home when they're sharing pie tugs at the heart strings and makes me misty eyed every time I see it because it reminds me of my great-grand mother when we'd go visit her at her retirement home.

Yeah, Old Yeller is a tough one for me to watch, even today. :(

I've never seen it because of that reason. I KNOW I would be doing the whole sobbing cry thing. I'm a serious softie for animals.

Add The Yearling to that with Gregory Peck. Gets me EVERY time!

Schindler's List, becuase it's a factual film depicting events that really happened. Very shocking and sad at times. The most emotional part is the ending where Schindler's Jews visit his grave

It's a different kettle of fish, but I found Life is Beautiful to be quite moving. It doesn't tell you how, but makes you think, how do you get your child through hell like that?

United 93. "The End" gets me every time.

I saw it described as a film so good you only need to see it the once, with which I wholeheartedly agree.

Children of Men
THX 1138
East of Eden
The Mist
Casablanca
Blade Runner

And they're not movies, but I can't help but tear up or even full-on cry during the MillenniuM episode "Midnight of the Century" and the Carnivale episode "Lincoln Highway".

I have to go with Toy Story 2, Jessie's story as well. It gets me everytime I can barely watch Toy Story 2 now

Three films basically..

The Shawshank Redemption- to see a man perservere like that is quite a sight to see.

Mr. Hollands Opus- greatr story about a man who REALLY makes a difference in kid lives but doen't really realize the enormus impact he really had.

Love Actually- a romantic comedy any guy can gladly say they watch guilt free without losing any "man cred" so to speak.

Schindler's List, Joy Luck Club, Terms of Endearment, and Atonement.

United 93 was so damn hard to watch. :(

Spirited Away and American History X, two completely different movies for two completely different reasons.
