Actually I was meaning the headline at the Daily Telegraph, not the thread title.
Ah. Well, whatever.
Dude. 15.
She'll be legal in a few months in most, if not all, of the US.
She's also gone (mostly) through puberty and presents the secondary sex characteristics of her adult counterparts. (Hips, beasts.)
Not saying I'd hit it if given the opportunity (even when legal) just saying she's attractive. If I was 16 I'd be totally after it.

disturbing...she's 15 man. 15 is way too young to have anything to do with condoms. what do they need them for, their 15!

This I agree with. She's too young to be hawking condoms/be in a condom commercail.
However, if you think about it it *could* make sense. Lots of young girls look up to her and she's one of the better teen role-models out there right now. So if she appears in condom commercials it, logically, would seem to follow it may influence young girls to practice safer sex.
It's kind of a tricky situation. One one hand it may do a lot of good, on the other it's a friggin' 15/16 year old advertising condoms.
Varies from state to state. Eighteen is the "accepted" norm probably in a "better safe than sorry" kind of way.

shouldnt she be influencing young girls to not have sex at all (In childhood that is)? If they see her with condoms they will think they can have sex whenever they want without any consequences at all.
Teenagers are going to have sex, it's much harder to prevent that. So if they're going to be having sex they might as well have safe sex.
True, but they cant be led to believe that the condom makes everything okay, they need to know that they can still get pregnant or get an std, and hanna montana isnt the best symbol for that.
I don't see anything wrong with this. Promoting safe sex is a good thing and hearing from a young girl who young girls look up to makes it all the better. Yeah, Disney won't like it, but screw them (with a condom!).
I don't see a problem with a teen-aged celebrity trying to reach out to her age demographic to promote safe sex. BUT I think the real issue here is that this girl is trying to grow up too fast. I mean, look at her. She posed for Maxim's 100 sexiest women ... I found it a little disturbing that a girl her age would even be considered one of the sexiest women in America.

These are simple facts. I know some people like to pretend that they're not, but pretending doesn't really solve anything.
So as for Miley being too young, I can't imagine why. If there are 15 year olds who get pregnant, how can they be two young to hear about condoms? It sounds to me like there's not any innocence to be lost there.

(I know they do complain, I'm just saying that the condom thing shouldn't even be on anyone's radar while issues like that are out there since they actually do harm, unlike the condom spokesperson thing.)

If ONLY children had some protectors in their lives to tell them these things, to guide them and say things like "Have sex before you turn 18 and I'll disown you. Get pregnant before you graduate college and you'll be out in the world to make it on your own with no help from me."
Some people to, I dunno, "parent" them so commercials and pop stars didn't have to.
I agree, in the end it is up to the parents to steer the child in the right way, but then again don't teens try to rebel as much as possible against their parents? Just a thought.
