Hollow body hard rock guitar players

Blackmore, on the early stuff. He used mainly an ES-335 until switching to Strat during the recording sessions for In Rock. ("Child in Time" still features the Gibson.)

I believe Townshend also used one of the F-hole Rickys on occasion.

(Sorry if I tread on someone's definition of "hard rock.")

ES-335's are not strictly hollow-bodied, but Clapton used to pay one with Cream (along with Pauls and SG's).

Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl plays a custom Gibson semi-hollow based on the 335.

Keith Richards has been playing 355's quite a bit on recent Stones tours.

LA punk/rockabilly legend Billy Zoom always plays a late '50s Gretsch Silver Jet, which look like a solid but are actually hollow under the top. Later Jets had "chambers" in the body but were a lot more solid.

I can't think of anybody besides Steve Howe that plays a real big-bodied hollow guitar onstage in a "rock" show, unless you count rockabilly cats with their Gretsch 6120's &c.

Jimmy Mcarty. Mitch Ryder & the Detriot Wheels, & Cactus. This is where Nuge got the idea to play the hollow body. Jimmy Mcarty was his idol.
