Things you'd like to see in the novels

I kind of always wanted to know what happened to ol' man Mullibok (played by Brian Keith) from the DS9 episode Progress! Or was there a story, and did I just forget about it...or miss it??

EDIT: I just checked Memory Beta, and apparently Mullibok did reappear in the novel Warchild.

Aquiel Uhnari

Erika Benteen

Tom Riker-was his fate ever revealed in the novels?

Herans-I like Augments and I thought there was a lot of potential with this group of augments

Kinshaya-like to learn more about these guys

Ubarrak-ditto

Tribbles-what happened to the Tribbles from DS9? Has a story/novel addressed that?

More Enterprise-B adventures, under either Harriman or Demora Sulu

Gorn-more development of these species, like the DS9R did with the Andorians

Jarada-ditto

Tellarites-ditto

Would like to see what happened to Capt. Benteen from DSN's Homefront/Paradise Lost.

I like to think she was able to redeem herself and return to service.

I haven't read either Imbalance or Demons of Air and Darkness. So, the Jarada are developed in those stories are just used as stock heavies? In any event, I would like to see more development and focus on those aliens.

Same with the Tzenkethi (I know a novel's coming up to address them), the Talarians, and the Nausicaans. Has anyone proposed a Worlds of TNG type series? Because TNG introduced a lot of interesting aliens (Talarians, Nausicaans, Anticans, Ktarians, Selay, Jarada, etc.)

More things I would like to see:

-Lysians/Satarrans
-Silent Enemy aliens
-Schism aliens
-the ship from Dead Stop
-Vulcan Isolationist Movement
-Ba'el (sp), the half-Klingon/Romulan young woman ("Birthright"); I thought she and Worf had a nice chemistry and would like to know what happened to her
-Toral
-Kurn's children, Kurn's spouse (are they members of the House of Martok too?)
-Geordi in a romantic relationship
-Wesley's reaction to the Picard/Crusher romance
-Aligar-like to see this race explored more
-Carreon-ditto

Imbalance is all about the Jarada (and recommend by me, although if I recall overall opinion is divided). Demons, by contrast, is heartily recommended by most, but it's engagement with the Jarada very limited. Honestly, they probably could have been any other xenophobic species for the role they play. Still, was nice to see an established but rarely-seen species getting some use.

See A Burning House by Keith R.A. DeCandido to find out what happens to her.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

for more on the Sontarrans, read ATT Sow and Harvest.

so, wait, that's supposed to be Satarrans.

for the Sontarrans, watch Doctor Who season 4's "The Sontarran Strategem" and "The Poison Sky"

As stated, Ba'el plays a big supporting role in A Burning House.

What children? What spouse? It was never established that Kurn had a mate or kids...

I know Tommy Lee Jones is David Mack's choice, but I still prefer Edward James Olmos myself for Reyes myself.
Wow... I don't see either of them as Reyes.
OK, in the four hour trek to visit my folks, I gave this some thought. Now, no one jump on me for this. When I read the Vanguard books, I envisioned The West Wing's late John Spencer in the role. I know that Spencer isn't Hispanic or Latino, but his portrayal of Leo had the same animated, frustrated gravitas that I see with Reyes. The problem with Olmos is that he will always be the reserved Bill Adama in my mind, and Batman Forever immediately ruins my thoughts of taking Tommy Lee Jones seriously again. He strikes me as over the top.

John Spencer could have been Reyes. He would also work in my mind as Dr. Zeke too.

Actually, if you want to be able to take Tommy Lee Jones seriously again, watch In the Valley of Elah or No Country for Old Men, then tell me you don't see why he's my top choice for Diego Reyes.

First Born
K’mtar – [to Worf] Kurn has no male heir. [to Alexander] At Kurn’s house there is a very clear lake, good for swimming. Alexander has cousins there. They want to meet Alexander.

Sounds like a mate and [at least two] girls were tossed by the side of the road in the fall of the House of Mogh.
