The murder of a television show host may link to her former avocation as a groupie to a famous musician, putting him and his family right at the top of the suspects list, along with her son and assistant.

Is anyone still watching? We barely had any posts in last week's thread. :(

I try to watch, but its getting harder and harder to watch CI

This.

I've caught three episodes this season and they've all been awful.

All I can figure is that after last years writers strike, they rushed the show into production using their second string scripts.

Uh... I watch every other episode. :p
And yet last week's discussion ended after my review. :p

It's possible, especially considering the first half of the season was pretty good. Hopefully the quality will pick up soon.

You killed my like of last week's by reminding me it was a rehash of a much-better ep. I do sense a lull in the writing, but I'm so freaking glad Wheeler is back, I'm going to let it slide.

Do we know how many more new eps we have?

Oops, sorry about that.

Having Wheeler back is great, so I have high hopes for tongiht.

I'm unclear on this point. Both NBC's and USA's sites don't tell me anything about future episodes. If we're to trust Wikipedia, there are seven more episodes including tonight, airing through August 24th. Considering the article about Chris Noth departing a couple of weeks, which stated he was still fliming episodes, I'm inclined to believe them at the moment.

Joan Jett? That was Joan Jett, right? Why didn't they pimp her appearance more?!
I was surprised, too! I would have mentioned it in the opening post. But IMDB, TV.com, and Wikipedia had nothing about it and last week's promo didn't mention her either.

I knew Jordie was Robbie's dad, but the rest...had no earthly idea. I liked the episode.
I guessed that the moment it was mentioned Milo's father "died" when he was younger. Saw that cliche coming a mile away.

That aside, I enjoyed the episode. Certainly better than last week's. I love Noel Fisher on The Riches, so his appearance in this episode was a big treat along with Joan Jett.

I also loved the twisted nature of the ending: The rocker's wife unknowingly fucking her own step-son.

As for next week...
I don't care if the episode is predictable. You can't go wrong with Christopher Lloyd!

I keep forgetting to watch...but I watched tonight. I thought it was really good, even if it was a bit predictable. Definitely watching next week. Christopher Lloyd looks so old. :(

I knew Robbie looked familiar, but didn't place him. He was good. Totally had me convinced he was hiding the fact he was gay. Must admit, Jordie had me convinced he was abusing him. Good episode all around, but damnit! Joan Jett. We should have had more of her.

I figured the rocker was the father, but for a bit there, I was worried that they were goin' for a gay incest affair between the father & son, with neither of 'em knowin' they were father and son.

Icky thought.

And next week's episode promo does make Christopher Lloyd look old. I almost didn't recognize him.

Not the greatest episode, but Logan & Wheeler together again and I didn't know who did it until almost the end, so I'll vote Very Good.

edited to add: I also thought that they were going to go for the creepy gay incest thing, so I was relieved that they didn't.

I try to catch the Goren/Eames episodes when I can; no cable in the house makes it kind of hard. :) I just can't seem to get into L/W eps for some reason.

I admit I didn't see the father/son thing coming. I guess when something is such a cliche, you don't expect them to actually go that direction.

Also, since there is no more lawyer aspect to this show, do the perps always go off on lengthy on-their-own-free-will confessions now?

Apparently. Heck, I just realized I haven't seen their ADA at all this season. Did the producers give him the boot or something?

Always enjoy the lawyer segments. Heck even SVU does a trial from time to time.

Actually, Courtney B. Vance left two seasons ago (along with Jamey Sheridan, who played Captain Deakins). Bridget Regan and Theresa Randle appeared twice as ADAs last season. At this point, it looks like they're done with ADAs, which is just as well considering Carver's (Vance) greatest strength was playing the moral compass to Goren.
