2008 WWE Draft - Big Surprises

I have as much right to say wrestling is stupid as you do to say its great.

Yeah, you have, but the thing is that you never said it was stupid before this post, all you did before that was stating that it is "fake" in a way implying that it is stupid to discuss anything "faked". If that was true 95 % of the forums on this board would be useless.

Herm, lets not continue the fighting in here.

I have as much right to say wrestling is stupid as you do to say its great.
Ok, but you didn't say that. You said it was fake, which is something they openly acknowledge. Hell, the company is named World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT!

So even worse, I'm getting attacked for stating something you all agree is true. How is that better?

I'm not attacking you...
You pointed out that it was fake... something we already knew.
So, my response was that perhaps you would like a "law and order" type disclosure "The following is entertainment"... except that disclosure is already there... Its World Wrestling Entertainment.
Would you like Star Trek and Babylon 5 to have similar disclosures?

To be fair, B5 did end with a reveal that it was all a historical account of the B5 events, as made far in the future by the rangers.

We were actually watching actors in the future playing characters who had not been born yet, fighting aliens that were yet to be discovered.

;)

Although don't let Paxil know. If he can't wrap his head around professional wrestling as entertainment, this might make his head explode!

To be fair, B5 did end with a reveal that it was all a historical account of the B5 events, as made far in the future by the rangers.

No, it didn't. The last episode of the 4th season was that, not the entire show. But how much comprehension can we expect from someone who enjoys "scripted sport".

People, people. Don't you see what Paxil's doing with this thread? He's doing a run-in. He's really getting into the thread, WWE style.

Just brilliant. ;)

Wrong again.

Watch the final episode, "Sleeping In Light".

The final scene before the credits shows the production team sitting on the grass while a voice over explains that this historical document has been produced from funds appropriated by the Anlashok(the Rangers).

See what I mean about you not being able to comprehend?

Actually, given your inability to comprehend this, maybe wrestling IS too complicated for you.

I think you are imagining that, because I sure as hell didn't see it, and can find nothing about it online.

Then you didn't watch to the end of the series,

Here is a youtube link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znNciln7qwY

And here is what the announcer says in the final SECONDS of the show,

"And now, for those of you who have been archiving this ISN Special Documentary, the people responsible.......funding for this programme was made possible by grants from the Anlashok Memorial Fund"

Sorry but, your comprehension skills aside, this could NOT be any clearer.

If THIS threw you, I think the Katie Vick/Kane storyline would have traumatized you back to your childhood and seen you rocking back and forward in a corner, sucking your thumb.

Oh and Paxil. FYI, the above is called a "finishing move". It means YOU lost and it means I am "over" you.

In more than a few ways.

That was in no way meant to imply that the entire series was a TV show. It was a cutsie way of showing the production team, nothing more.

Oh, and thanks for the goobye kiss. I would hope you're gonna shut the fuck up now. I'm sure you've got plenty of scripted sports to watch.

JMS is on record saying the entire B5 document was "future history", presented to us in the past. If you are ANY kind of fan of the show I am embarrassed for you that you did not know this.

Oh and Edge does this all the time.

You are now speaking from the "Gorilla Position", taunting the champ with your "next time I WILL WIN!!!!" schtick.

It's as lame here as when he does it.

Only Edge makes about twenty times the amount of money you do and gets much hotter chicks.

And he's taken on the role of the heel. Well played old bean, well played.;)

^Except he's about as effective in either role as Charlie Haas, the man who had a special kind of crowd reaction named after him - Charlie Haas Heat (i.e. the audience are sitting around talking amongst themselves not noticing that Charlie Haas is wrestling).

Oh, is that why you dragged discussion of this even to other forums and completely unrelated threads?

^You don't like wrestling, fine. You have registered that fact now.

Your points have nothing to do with the subject of the 2008 WWE Draft Lottery. If you wish to discuss your dislike of professional wrestling, please do so elsewhere.

But was it a scripted draft lottery? I bet it was.

Of course it was! Read the thread!

Triple H moved because his wife runs Smackdown, Jamie Noble moved to ECW because of his backstage job with that brand.

Gee, do you even read the threads you're posting in? If you had read the thread you would have known the answer to this question.

Or is this your way of admitting that you're a mark not knowing that everything is "faked" in wrestling?

I don't know, by now Paxil is playing the Eugene role IMO.
