^ thanks, Christopher, it was a copy and paste from (probably) last year's Shore Leave announcement, but I should've checked with Pocket's website before posting.

A first for me, but I'm getting ALL of those. And can't wait to start reading them -- though I'm going to force myself to wait at least until I'm done with the Terok Nor trilogy.

I know this might be a silly question, but being that this whole flipbook thing is new to Star Trek, is there a preferred order to read the two books in Fearful Symmetry? I'm sure they're fairly stand-alone but complement each other so it's okay to read them either way, etc...but is there maybe one way where the stories complement each other a little more, and then the other way it's slightly more confusing, or something like that?
I hate to be the guy that asks this, because I know this is probably gonna become one of the annoying questions like "what do I have to read before AotF?" But, hopefully I'm not asking it a week after someone else (if I am, I profusely apologize).

From the conversations I remember from earlier years (when the first author was still associated with the book), the regular Kira side was intended to be read first, but they could still be enjoyed in either order.

I think it works better if you read Side One first. There's at least one case where a mystery of sorts is set up in Side One and then explained in Side Two.

Wow, looks like we have a good two months coming up. I'm actually 2 chapters into FS right now, and so far it's pretty cool.

The sides are labeled "Side One" and "Side Two" so there shouldn't be much confusion.

Will Myriad Universe 1 be available at Shore Leave? Anything else available there early?

IDW releases:

Mirror Images #1,

Assignment Earth #3,

Enterprise Experiment #3,

Turnaround #4

all four come out July 2 :techman:

Yes, MyrU: Infinity's Prism will be available, and there's still a teensy chance that advance copies of MyrU: Echoes and Refractions will be there, too. (*Fingers tightly crossed!*)

Other new books scheduled to premiere at Shore Leave for the first time include Christopher's Greater than the Sum, Lawrence Schoen's Klingon translation of Tao Te Ching, and the biography of Matt Jeffries titled Beyond the Clouds.

And as I understand it, the first hundred-or-so attendees of the Pocket Books presentation on Friday night will receive a special promo volume full of excerpts from upcoming releases.

Kinda like what they did at.... crap, one of the other conventions sometime recently.

Lawrence Schoen's Klingon translation of Tao Te Ching
Klingon translation? I've read the English translation and that loses at least half of the original meanings, Klingon translation? :shudder:
