Warlord

Starbreaker

Fleet Admiral

I am about to watch the last episode of Voyager that I haven't seen yet - Warlord. It's a little bittersweet actually.

"Warlord" is a great episode. One of my Top 5 favorites.

As for that Talaxian resort, I think it is in "The Q And The Grey" too. There is some beach program in some other episodes, "Alter Ego" and "Darkling" but I'm not 100% sure that it's the same Talaxian resort as in "Warlord".

Well, nobody stress over it. It just looked familiar and I was just making sure. I'm almost done with the episode now. I'm really enjoying it. It's not the most original plot ever, but it's better than a lot of stuff I've watched recently. Whoever the black guy playing one of the warlord's aides is is goofy beyond belief. He sticks out like a sore thumb.

The only weird thing is that the possessed Kes breaks up with Neelix so, presumably, he won't hang around her and potentially realise what's going on, but it sticks! They stay broken up.

Maybe Kes wanted to break up with him anyway. Or maybe she was still in control of herself when they broke up. Was it possibly a cut scene that was taken out?

There was a cut episode but I think I saw it as an extra on one of the dvds.

Warlord is a great episode, but it's not my favorite Kes episode. That honor goes to Before and After, which was just on Spike yesterday.

"Warlord" is a great episode but I agree that the break-up of the Kes-Neelix relationship was handled badly.

kes, while being posessed by Tieran, breaks up with Neelix. Obviously as a part of the plan to get away from the ship. Just like that.

But when Kes is restored to normal, the relationship is still broken up. No explanation why.

If I had been in charge, the breakup should have taken place in season 2, shortly after "Parturition" and it should have taken place during 2-3 episodes as some sub-plot to some ongoing story and also been carefully explained.

As for the episode itself, "Warlord" is one of my favorite Kes episodes together with "Cold Fire" and "Persistence Of Vision" (which is not a Kes episode actually but she plays an important part of the story).

"Before And After" is great since it give us some background about the character but the whole "traveling backwards" and "alternate timeline" scenario is a bit too weird for my taste. Still a great episode.

There's a cut episode of Voyager???? I want to know more!! (I may have to go out and get the DVD for this)

This thread got me in the Mood to watch Warlord tonight and yes it's a terrific episode. Jennifer Lein played her guts out on this one and did a magnificant job. I do agree with Lynx though that the break up between Neelix and her could have been done better. There was a small hint at the end between her and Tuvok, but I had wished there was a different episode with a line in there somewhere really confirming it. This relationship had gone on since the beginning of the series (Even though I wonder how Genuine it was since it was Neelix mostly making the moves) and to end it this way when Kes was posessed seemed a little cheap.

Other than that, this episode was great. Kes fighting Teiron was awesome and the scene in his mind was probably my favorite scene in the episode.

She gave him a lung and dared him to have a baby with her. He tried to kill Tom Paris for looking at her funny, and yelled at her for knowing where other men lived...

Sounds like a regular relationship to me.
