Okay watching the end of Civilization last night (boy I could barely keep my eyes open) the Enterprise transports the bad-guy's AM reactor to the ship, then out in space into the path of the bad-guy's vessel, torpedoes it and it explodes -- sort of -- and shorts out the bad-guy's ship so that all's-well-that-ends-well.
I seem to remember the tiny Delta Flyer's warp-core, which I assume is just an AM reactor or the AM "fuel tank" exploding (in the ep Drive) and they had to be like X million kms out of the area, because the original explosion was designed to take out as many ships at the finish line as possible.

Any other AM explosions that follow this type of "fit the story line" type of approach ?
