Best Ever NON-Genre Action Film

Think about it. An action movie... with no sci-fi/fantasy/future elements whatsoever. No Star Wars... no Indiana Jones... no Mad Max... what remains at the top of the pile?

I'm not even sure really. Die Hard 1? Die Hard 3? Lethal Weapon 2?

Oh, I'm sure I will. I love Simon Pegg and loved Shaun of the Dead (and I'm not a fan of zombie movies!).

I am positively stunned that anyone got to Errol Flynn before I did! Awesome!

And great picks too. Nothing like a big costume picture and plenty of Errol Flynn & Basil Rathbone sword fights to get the blood pumping!

And speaking of Flynn, I'd also throw in The Sea Hawk, The Charge of the Light Brigade, and The Dawn Patrol.

Gotta give a nod to Tyrone Power too, however. I'm thinking The Mask of Zorro is pretty high on the list....and I also love The Black Swan and Son of Fury.
