SPOCK: Captain, I believe that ship's stores has made an error in regards to our headwear.
KIRK: Yes, Spock, I believe you're right. A shame though, I rather like these hats. There's something...festive about them. If we get out of this Iotian mess in one piece, I was thinking of petitioning Starfleet to make them part of the standard uniform.

I really like these! Thank you again for making them.
For an avatar though, I decided the animation was just a bit too fast for my taste, so I went with a still shot, and brushed up the background a little. I didn't think I would get on the sombrero bandwagon, but here I am! Resistance was futile.
You know, I really want to see an actual photo of a cast member (original or new) in a sombrero. Not a photoshop. A real photo. Lets see Zach quinto or Nimoy in a sombrero.
Or J.J. abrams. Editing the movie wearing a sombrero.
Thats the challenge folks. Come on, we have people on the inside. PTM is a good conduit.
All you convention go-ers - take a few sombreros with you and get those Star Trek cast members to wear 'em. I don't care who. Grace Lee whitney, Garrett Wang...anyone.
