Transformers 2 News (Spoilers)

That title sucks. How about something short and simple, like Transformers: Resurrection?

Can any Transformers comic book readers verify this:

CHUD reports that according to their sources, 'The Fallen' of the upcoming "Transformers" sequel's new subtitle 'Revenge of the Fallen' is actually a character from comic book continuity.

More specifically he's an ancient Transformer who's essentially the Devil of their mythology as in one of the original good 13 Transformers who turned on his fellow beings and was cast down. Now he's 'The Fallen', a being of power, darkness, and absolute dedication to Unicron - the twin brother and arch-enemy of the Transformers creator Primus who was sealed with Fallen into extradimensional limbo.

In the MU, I don't recall 13 original Transformers. There was Primus and Unicron, both of whom were powerful beings. Primus was fleeing Unicron and merged with a large planetoid in an attempt to hide. From there, he "terraformed", for lack of a better word, the planetoid, and the Transformer race sprouted. Unicron also merged with a planetoid, in an attempt to disguise himself so he could covertly find and destroy Primus.

Arcee will still be the bike concept art from the first movie and toyline. Only minor difference is new stickers.

Thanks to TransformersLive, we now have a leaked call sheet from the set in Bethlehem PA. In it we have tons of new information regarding cast and crew, scenes, storyline, and vehicles. A lot of it is speculative, however TFW2005 can verify that the mentioned "Arcee Motorcycles" are on set, and have been seen by myself and 2005 Boards Member BMGFX.

One zipped by too quick to take a picture on Tuesday. They look almost exactly like the Hasbro toy, color and style wise, with some more "real world" decaling. See what we mean here: Transformers Movie Arcee.

I'm glad they decided to use the designs since it probably saved the production tons of time. For those that forgot what she was going to look like

She was going to take Ironhide's spot

The latest rumor is that the scenes at the Smithsonian depict Sam, Mikaela, and Simmons taking apiece of the Allspark to the Smithsonian to activate Jetfire, and SR-71 Blackbird, who will be a Decepticon Turncoat.

Interesting

Interesting, considering the Allspark was a melted hunk of (something) after it did its number on Megatron.

Heres another different take

New Transformers in this film include remote-control truck 'Wheels' (blurry photos), three Can-Am Spyder motorbikes become 'Arcee', a beat up old ice cream truck which becomes 'The Twins', the 2008 Pontiac Solstice which becomes 'Jazz', and an Autobot based on the Chevrolet Beat concept car.

Over the weekend John Turturro, Megan Fox, and Shia Lebeouf were all part of a scene set around a SR-71 Blackbird at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia which transforms into 'Jetfire' during the scene apparently.

Shooting gets underway in Philadelphia this week, making notable use of the University of Pennsylvania for college scenes with Sam (Shia LaBeouf), a local power station, and the Eastern State Penitentiary (now a museum) which will be used for a possible jail break scene.

Will be interesting to see which Autobot the Chevrolet Beat will be.

I just found this news about an Autobot
SAAB confirmed as Wheeljack? Link

I'm not to keen on the twins, but I wonder if they will become some more car or something else.

Sweeeet. That plane is 110 feet long, with a 55 ft wingspan. Big fellow.

As a comparison, Starscream's F22 is 62 feet long with a 44 foot wingspan and Blackout's MH-53 is 88 feet, mostly tail.

Then again,
an aircraft carrier, Metroplex size TF in the next movie, which would make Jetfire the small guy again.

"The twins" makes me think they'll have dreadlocks and be all white ;)

photos of shooting at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Also Bay's private Jet with Blackouts number on the tail which he added after the success of the first movie.

I hope that the history between Jetfire and Starscream is kept in tact.

As for the Fallen, my bet is on Sunstorm, which would tie in with the planes.

Omega Supreme? I think he had a history with Jetfire at one point in the latest comics but I can't remember.

I hope to God Bay decides to flesh out the robots instead of making them almost 2D.

Yeah I'm intrested in that too.

But that bit in spoiler text there would be fucking awesome if true since I love the character and the brand :D

I posted here as I'd just read at this site

...that the Revenge of the Fallen trailer would be shown with Star Trek this Christmas!!

But actually, maybe some of you know. Trek was delayed until May of next year. Of course, that's terrific news , but what was Trek Xi's original release date?

It stands to reason that the Transformers 2 trailer should be appearing quite soon.
