If this place of worship were dedicated to the ship's head nurse, would it be thereafter known as...

    ...wait for it...

    ...I don't think you'll like the punchline...

    ...OK, here's it comes...

    ... the Christine Chapel?

    Er, I'll get me coat!

    Sincerely,

    Bill

I agree, the BOT chapel is much better than the TTW version, except for the dark blue carpet in the latter , which was cool, IMHO. Just a thought on your staterooms, In the original series we ocasssionally saw an oval table instead of the standard one you show here, since you show a double stateroom in the last series of pics above, you might consider pairing it with the oval tables, as franz Joseph did, and thereby add a little more veriety for your game? Keep up the great work!

TIN_MAN: Actually, I was waiting to make the oval table model. I didn't get around to that until I built the rec room. I'm currently working on "filling in" the rest of Deck 5 with random officer's quarters. Probably only going to have three or four featured. I'll probably re-create Kirk's quarters to a T. And then have the main character's quarters, and then perhaps one more (perhaps the main characters best friend, love interest, etc). I would love to do Spock's quarters, but it had so many organic looking objects, and I'm not all that good at recreating irregularly shaped objects. In all three or four, I will make sure to change up the arrangement, furniture, decor, etc.

I'm actually considering making a "enlisted crew's quarters", which is half the size of the officer's quarters. It would be the right half of the room, with a bed, small desk/table, and the circular nook. However, this would seem to disagree with what we see on the show. Rand, who was an enlisted crew woman, occupied quarters that were the full size double-room. So this kind of makes me feel like it would be incorrect. Any thoughts?

Oh, and TIN_MAN, both the briefing room and the rec room have the blue carpet. I thought by leaving the chapel's floor grey, as seen in Balance of Terror, it would further make this room unique since all three rooms are basically the same design. Plus the red on grey contrast is a little more striking that the red on blue

Hey FishDS9! It's good to see you over in these parts.

To answer Haggis's question, I am not nor was I ever involved with any work of Synchromesh or SpaceStationK7's mods. However, I have been a supporter of their work for years, and vice versa. We work on two totally different games. Toonloon, the leader of K7, once tried to convert my TWOK era mod from MotS to EF, but the project wasn't a success due to the many differences between the two gaming engines.

I myself, have been making Star Trek mods for MotS for about 7 years...the earlier ones never being released due to the fact that they aren't very good. It would be interesting to show the difference between the work I was doing then and what I'm doing now....

Stay tuned guys...hopefully I'll have some new pics up soon. Working on the shuttlebay complex and the cargo bay complex...both very large areas. Got the architecture all set, just filling in the details. I hate posting in-progress shots, so as soon as either of those areas are finished I'll post.

Well I was hoping to have a bigger update for now, but unfortunately I've run into some problems with the ancient gaming engine I'm using. Problems that I will be able to work around, but it may take some time.

Anyway, I've almost finished with the cargo bay complex, which I've placed directly forward of the shuttlebay. Both of these areas have a little more work until I'm ready to show them to the public. So until then, here's a little teaser of the observation deck surrounding the shuttlebay, which also looks down into the cargo bay. Enjoy!

May be just a semantic issue, but "aft of the shuttlebay?" Wouldn't that be in space? ;)

Still, looking great, despite the limitations of the engine. :bolian:

Wow, these are stunning. I'm working on an unrelated-to-Trek game right now, and man, they could sure use you on their interior maps. I'm on a Mac, naturally, so I doubt MotS would run on it, unless there's a Mac version? Your TWOK mdoels and maps are spot-on to my eyes, really wonderfully done. - mh
