Is it Wrong That...

No its not wrong that you're upset at all. we've been with Ethan, Lucas, Lilah et al for years now and we care about them, laugh at them and yeah in this case...we're upset for them.

Tim Buckley has posted that this has always been in the overall plan for ethan and lilah, and its something that will test their relationship. I think thats a brave move. As someone who has very recently found out thet their partner is expecting.....well it was a little upsetting to say the least.

So nope, you're not wrong, you just have a big heart :)

It is, however, probably a bit wrong that I care more about Ethan and Lilah than I do most people in the TV shows I watch.

Yeah but theyre better written than most of the crap on TV these days. TV seems to be endlessly filled with reality sh*t, amusing animal shows and shows that should have been shelved ages ago.

*sigh* am getting old!

^Me too.

The amount of non-sport television I watch is decreasing every year. Two of the shows I do watch (Lost and Battlestar Galactica) have definite end dates, two others (Smallville and Stargate: Atlantis) are not going to be around forever. That really just leaves Heroes.

I might watch Dollhouse and I will almost certainly watch Caprica but that's it really. I don't see Stargate Universe getting off the ground.

Television isn't made for people like me anymore. It all seems to consist of reality TV and dramas to make women feel good.

So, it's no surprise that I enjoy something as simple as a gaming webcomic because at least there's some sense that it's being written from a male perspective.

Its not wrong, its a very brave move and an effective one, but the problem is that, for me, CtrlAltDel hasn't really been properly funny for a long time now and it seems unlikely that this arc will stop that slide.

I'll agree with that, the only reason I'm still reading it is because of my online routine. It lost the spark just after Ethan and Lucas' last house burnt down IMO.

I thought the one with Niko Bellic and the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man was hiliarous.

One-offs don't count.

I agree. The comic has seemed to be missing a certain "spark" for quite some time.

I'm not really all that bothered by this recent story development. I really like the CAD chracters and all but I'm not emotionaly invested in them. It's a sad development but, then again, I wasn't looking forward to a baby be entered into the picture.

I know Tim said in his news post that this isn't a "gaming comic" but a comic about gamers and, thus, their lives. But there was a time when there was more gaming in this comic.

He also said in his newspost he knows all these big story details, one being what Scott is doing in his room. Which, I mean, come ON! When was the last time we even SAW Scott?! Let alone what he's doing in his room even a mystery?
