The other hat, the silk cloche, is going to be awhile. The milliner who's making it had an accident in Germany and is still recovering. But I'm really looking forward to that one!
And lastly, what with summer just around the corner, the milliner who made the green felted cloche is experimenting with straw cloches with linen flowers. I can't wait to see them!
Now this sounds very Daisy from Gatsby.

Will you come cry into my beautiful shirts? :D
I will weep into your beautiful shirts!

Have you ever read Tipping the Velvet, by Sarah Waters? This bit reminded me of you:
There was a jacket and trousers of bone-coloured linen, and a waistcoat, slightly darker, with a silken back[...]Then there were the collars, white as a new tooth, with studs of opal, and cuff-links of gold. There was a necktie and cravat of an amber-colored, watered silk: they gleamed and rippled as I drew them from their tissue, and slithered from my fingers to the floor like snakes[...]For my head there was a creamy homburg with a trim that matched the neckties; for my feet there was a pair of shoes -- a pair of shoes of a chestnut leather so warm and rich I felt compelled at once to apply my cheek to it, then my lips; and finally, my tongue.
It's a great book, by the way, but be sure to read it where no one can look over your shoulder, because there is lots of steamy lesbian sex.

I picked up a copy of Reflections: Carly Simon's Greatest Hits last night at B&N. And I preemptively bought some old Doctor Who books that someone donated to the library's neverending book sale (retrospectives about the Doctors and companions up through #6 and Peri, respectively — both penned by John Nathan Turner — and a 25th anniversary retrospective book).

Just got this for the bathroom sink.

I'm suitably corrected - quite right! :o

Delightful. :D

Though if I was going to go around licking shoes, I think I'd pick something in red with an extravagant heel. Any suggestions? ;)

Just looks a faucet with a light at the end. Very interesting!

I've been buying a few things lately, including some plays...

Books
- Our Town by Thornton Wilder
- The Complete Oscar Wilde by Oscar Wilde, obviously.
- Faust by Goethe
- Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe? by Edward Albee
- The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? by Edward Albee
- Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard
- The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard
- Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, the book the Showtime series Dexteris based on.
- A Norton Anthology of Modern poets that I found at a used book shop.

DVD
I'm Not There - the Bob Dylan biopic where he's played by six actors, a gift for a friend.

Plays
- Ticket to A Long Day's Journey Into Night, a play by Eugene O'Neill performed at the Theater on the Round in Minneapolis last Saturday.
- Ticket to the first reading of a local playwright's stageplay When We Go Upon The Sea by Lee Blessing in the Dowling Studio at the Guthrie again in Minneapolis. Interesting experience.

Especially since Wiis are still extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find in stores. Azlynn thus made it possible for another family to find happiness. :techman:

But what about the family that wanted the strawberries??? Somewhere out there a small child may be weeping over mom coming home without strawberries. I feel guilty. :(

It's actually the second time in the last month that I've seen Wiis, and the second time that I haven't bought one.

Hey, that's two happy families! Woohoo!

I bought nocking points for my bow and a quiver for my arrows. I couldn't find an arrow rest that would've worked with my bow, though. I also bought some kind of gyroscope ball thingy for my brother that works out every muscle in your forearm, particularly the one on the top of the forearm (don't know what it's called), which is good for drummers. It also helps strengthen your grip.

Twice? Where in the name of Sir Optimus Prime do you live? They are damn near impossible to find anywhere around here. *Extremely* rare. I have never actually seen one in the stores.

PS3s, on the other hand, can now be easily found; stores usually have about a dozen each.

I'm sure there's some hidden meaning there.

Canada, eh? :)

They've been in major chains (Walmart, and a grocery chain) - one time advertised, the other not. I think they're still harder to get here, but possible with patience. I'm tempted to check our Costco now too, just so I can help out another family. ;)
