One single FX sequence do you think was Star Trek at it's best in terms of the sequence AND the story. Ships can fire phasers, disrupters, whatever. But when the FX sequence drives the story, and just isn't a bunch of explosions, that is when they are at their best.

Sacrafice of Angels and the battle 1 in TWOK are two that I am thinking of. Each was well crafted, and it seemed as if the action happening in space was PART of the story, not just there for eye candy.

For me? The topper of them all? When Kirk/Spock team up to stop Khan from destroying them. Spock flips the controls and the Reliant's shields drop, and then the look on Khan's face as Khan realizes what is happening...but it's too late...

FIRE! Kirk says...

Great stuff...my favorite scene from Angels is when the fleet of Klingon ships, led by Worf, dive out of the glare of a nearby star and punch a hole through the Dominion forces....

That was one of my favorite episodes. I liked the way they seamlessly integrated that footage and made you feel like you were back aboard the original Enterprise.

I also liked the TNG episode "Relics" when Picard and Scotty have a drink on the bridge of the TOS Enterprise.

Yeah..that was well done. I also liked how they put Obrien and Bashier in the line up scene with Kirk/scotty in Tribulations..
