in vegas TODAY

And, yes, I went to the ST Experience...We walked around Quarks. I got a starfleet acadmey ring and the ENE-E toy enterprise. A very sex, hot lookng woman, dressed up like a Klingon, was walking around Quarks..she posed with my wife and I (what happens in vegas STAYS in vegas)....When my wife asked her where Lursa was, the Klingon woman scoffed and said that they were both dead!!..she knew her TREK history!!!

We had lots of fun...and I won $500 on craps (turned $80 into 500$)

I would have told her well, I know she's not in Stovokor!

I was in Vegas last month. Visited the Trek Experience but mostly just walked around the gift shop and took a peek at Quark's Bar. Didn't pay to actually go on "the experience" to do the attractions/rides. It seemed a bit...well... tacky, and my friend and I didn't feel like blowing money on it when we had so much more to do.

In retrospect, I feel kinda bad not doing it since it's likely going to close at the end of the year.

Coolness. I've only been once, prior to the Borg Invasion 4-D thing going in. I'm going to be in Vegas in September, hopefully it will still be open when I'm there!

I'll probably never get to go now that its closing..

Don't give up yet. There's still been no official announcement. Trekmovie.com doesn't count and even that story suggests that details may still be worked out.

Best thing is to write or call the appropriate people listed in the "Whither Star Trek: The Experience? Update" thread.

You may get your wedding on the bridge yet.

I asked a few of the people who were working there, including my Klingon Girlfriend, and they said it was still a rumor, just as you said. With that movie coming out next year, and if it's as big as we think it will be, they may just sign on for another year.

I also heard that it may move to the Excalibre...so there's another rumor to throw out there..

See the thread. The thing can't just "be moved". It has to be torn down and then rebuilt from the ground up at a probable cost of over $100 million probably closer to $150 million.

Anyway, we'll find out this month from all previous reports.

Keep calling. Keep writing.

I don't think Star Trek would fit in with the theme of the Excalibur very well.

I went to the 40th Anniversary ST con in Vegas two years ago. The Experience was fun, but I didn't have enough money to actually see the show.

Writer, you know. :)
