Don't forget season six, with all of the "why are you attacking my country?" stuff.In season 2 of 24 everyone kept mentioning the "THREE MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES" but the lengths they went to to never actually refer to them by name just got plain ridiculous.

). There must be a list of all the various countries that the IMF ran operations in over the years. Going by signage, many of them seemed to have the same language, though.
That language was "Gellerese"!
Balinderry is an actual place in Northern Ireland, near Lough Neagh. The episode was supposed to refer to the "Dominion of Balinderry", in North West Europe. Except that the locals had Irish accents, dressed like French peasants and the troops patrolling the area looked like WWII era British soldiers. It didn't help that it appeared to be a dry, arid area, not unlike the US mid-west

Hm. If I'm going to be generous, I presume they mean that Atlantis is something that some people have believed existed and presented arguments for its existence; which distinguishes it from, say, Tomania.
Does the fictional US state of San Andreas count?
