Best Episode of Season 2, Part 1

This is harder than I thought. Season two was decidedly mediocre but its highs were really solid--Carbon Creek, Minefield, The Catwalk, Cease Fire, Future Tense, The Breach, The Expanse.

No, not really. The few "good" episodes were maybe average, and the bad ones really, really sucked. Then again there are acually people who thought ANIS and Bounty were just all kinds of awesome for whatever reason. I like to make fun of these people, however.

Nope, underrated. Both of the first two seasons are--my favorite seasons, the reasons I fell in love with the show and watched for 4 years.

^ Yep, my favourite episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 are the ones I come back to and enjoy, time and again. Can't say the same for the other seasons, even though I do enjoy them too, of course.

For me, and I love S2, I had to vote for Cogenitor. Just tops from top to bottom. A great dilemma for Trip, and a truly memorable, sad, and stunning ending. The woman who played the cogenitor (Becky Wahlstrom) also pulled off a mesmerizing performance.

I am continually amazed at all the praise Cogenitor always receives.

It has to be second most overrated ENT episode. Where to start?

Let's see two unnecessary subplots(those subplots themselves prevent the episode from being excellent IMO) that were a distraction from the meatier A-plot which deserved and needed the full hour dedicated to it in order to flesh things out. This could have been ENT's "The Measure of a Man" but wasn't. I enjoy a good meaty dilemma but this episode failed to supply necessary information and arguments to flesh out the debate plus we never were let in on how or why Archer came around. The asylum hearing was too short and rushed. I was just shaking my head at all the interesting arguments glossed over. Archer should have asked the would-be parents how they would feel if the child they so desperately want turned out to be a cogenitor. Would they mind if she were treated like their cogenitor?

#3 Precious Cargo - I'm the only one who liked the episode. I thought it was alot of fun and indicative of the problems being alone in space.

#2 Minefield - Had season 4 not happened, this would be ranked much lower.

#1 Future Tense - The temporal cold war at it's best.

So, you actually liked Voyager's 8th and 9th seasons, eh?

Kay---I agree! There are standout eps in season 3 and 4(Twilight anyone?!) but the ones I rewatch are from the first 2 seasons.

Regeneration was the only episode I found interesting enough to re-watch. This really isn't a good season. Fortunately it gets a little better starting with S3.

You aren't the only one who liked this episode - i too thought it was a lot of fun. It's just not at the top of my list.
