DVDs on Amazon.com

Heads up! You guys might already know this, but the DVD sets on Amazon.com are REALLY reasonable right now. As far as I can tell, all the season sets are currently $35.49. I've been waiting for a long time for Voyager to come down in price, and I might actually spring for Enterprise too while I'm at it.

Anyway, thought folks might like to know. I know it's probably because the HD wars are over and no doubt the Blu-Ray versions will be coming our way soon, but I'm still excited to finally have Voyager at a price I'm willing to pay.

It's already been discussed here - amazon.com has been running a sci-fi sale for the month of April. I'm sure it never hurts to repost things like this, though. It could save some people a lot of $$$!

Sorry for the re-post. I did skim the front page first, but I'm too lazy to dig. I'm hardly ever in the Trek fora anymore.

Anyway, I just ordered all of Voyager. Yay me! Okay, so credit card not cheering so much but...

I bought all seven seasons of Voyager, too, and it was great! It seems like at the start of the year they weren't the $70 of recently, but $116! This sale is more like two-thirds off!

^Man, don't you HATE that! I admit to a little twinge knowing I paid the $100 each for TNG & DS9 when they first came out. I console myself that I got the bonus discs from Best Buy, but that doesn't really make up the $60 difference, does it?

If you e-mail amazon they will refund the difference. They have awesome customer service.

Yep--email them, they'll give you a refund, I'm sure. That's happened to me before, and they gave me a refund. If it was more than a month, you're SOL, but if it was only 2 weeks, they'll give you money back.

Yeah--I paid about $100 each for Enterprise last summer, but getting Voyager cheap makes me feel better, I just kind of average the prices and feel like I did o.k. Humans are great rationalizers!

They're out of stock on Voyager Season 3 at the moment. You can still get it for the price, but it's 1-3 weeks for shipping.

Seems odd that only that particular season has run out of stock.

I ordered Voyager 1-7 and TNG season 1 (it was the only one I was missing). This makes my collection complete except for TOS and ENT.

I was tempted to order those too but can't quite justify spending that much money right now. Plus I'm anticipating a blu-ray release for the remastered TOS.

I paid $99 a pop for each season of TNG and DS9 when they were originally released. Kinda makes me mad that they've dropped so dramatically in price. I refuse to pay that kind of money for any of VOY or ENT. Now that they are so much cheaper, I feel a little compelled to pick up a season or two of those series... but I haven't quite managed to pull the trigger yet.

They told me my Voyager wouldn't ship for 1-3 weeks, but it shipped in a few days. I think they have stock coming in all the time. Voyager is flying off the shelves there, I think--it was over $100 a season just a few months ago--who was going to pay that? Now everyone's taking advantage of the sale.

Thanks for reminding me about this sale! I was going to order Voyager Seasons 4-7 last week or the week before, but it showed that every single one of them was out of stock. After seeing this I checked back today, and sure enough it showed that they were in stock now so I went ahead and ordered them. The price was too good to pass up, and it was the only thing I didn't have in my Trek collection. The circle is now complete.
