I like that one; even if it might not fit the particular novel, it keeps with the operatic titling of the first three Vanguard books. Who is Rush, btw? I've only heard of them here and in David Mack's 'about the author' segments.
Guess I have until April 09 to finally get into the VOY-R. I'd better clear my reading schedule hadn't I, if I want to prep for later in the year. Treklit is getting better and better all the time. The next year or so looks fan-f***ing-tastic. I can't wait to get caught up. *checks bank details*

Yeah, the Destiny piece was from Gods of Night. It was bound in the manner that advance galleys often are, so it was perfect-bound, but not saddle-stitched.
Thanks for the update. I'm glad the info is out. Nothing earth shattering. It's hard to get excited about a following up to a trilogy I haven't read yet but I'm assuming I will be by the time it's released, especially considering the track record of the authors. It's all stuff I kind of expected, another Titan, another, Vanguard, etc. But it's all things I'll buy the day I see them. I'm just more excited about the Mirror Universe and the 2 Infinities Prism books and the David Mack Trilogy and the DS9R book coming and I've just started the Terok Nor trilogy. This year is shaping up to be such a block buster it's just hard for me to start thinking about next year already. And there's still over half a year yet that needs to be announced.
We've only seen a fraction of the Trek-Books of 2009, so relax and wait until Shore Leave in July. I'm preety sure, we're gonna hear more about DS9 (And many other things that were left out in NY) there. But I admit, the Sisko/Tzenkethi-Lost Era-novel is one I'm also really looking forward to.
Question for KRAD I always wondered how do the editors and artitsts come up with the cover art designs for the different Star Trek books ? How many designs does an artist come up with for a book series storylines like for example Terok Nor's series or the Mirror Univerese Covers? After looking at the new cover art fron NY comic con I thought the new covers were really neat to see the different Enterprises for the different books and the Destiny cover 2.
This all sounds very exciting - I'm really looking forward to the latter half of '08 and the beginning of '09. I primarily read the TNG and DS9 relaunches and Titan, so it sounds like there will be plenty to keep me occupied (leading up to, during and after the Destiny trilogy)! I'm also pleasantly surprised to see that there's a VOY relaunch novel coming out that isn't written by Christie Golden! All I can say is - about time!
This all sounds great, I'm just wondering where I'm going to find the time to catch up on all the trek reading I have to do to get me to Destiny. Right now, I justed finished a 2 week break from books to play crisis core (which is a great game by the way IMO). And I hope they do release the Gamma books 3 and 4 like these haunted seas cause I still have not read those yet. Great job writers, with what I've read in recent months I'm very happy.
Not if you don't like the cover. I've never been a fan of ship-centric covers at odd angles with flashy backgrounds. Lacks imagination in my mind.
Yeah, but it's awful purty. I was hoping GTTS would have the Enterprise-E on the cover, since it's been oddly absent from prior books in the series. And while this image (created by "Mojo" for the SotL calendar) isn't a literal fit to the events of GTTS, I think it conveys a sense of wonder and adventure that's a good fit to the book.
There's really no way to give an answer, because it varies with every book. When I was editor of a professional journal, we sometimes spent days, even weeks, debating the design of the next year's four covers, put the designer through many drafts and then hated many of the elements immediately, and spent the next year regretting certain decisions. Other times, we did one quick draft and left it to the designer to tweak it, and the result worked a treat.

Ms. Beyer, I gave up on the Voyager Relaunch after the first two books, but I'm sure like a lot of other people here, I'll be purchasing yours to give it a shot. Make us lowly Internet fans believe again!
