I liked when he talked about how he was able to fit in everything without upscaling the ship by getting a little creative with perspective and positioning... then admitted there's no room for the corridors flanking the hangar. No matter how hard you press, the wallpaper always has a bubble somewhere.
No (though Marc Cushman's legal first name is "Matthew," just to keep us on our toes). Matt and his older brother Chris Cushman have made several Trek cutaway illustrations since the '90s. Chris did the big Enterprise-D poster, and Chris made the 30th Anniversary TOS Enterprise poster (which has considerable differences from this new version), among many others.
I won't do that, the poster looks great. But I think he got mixed up thinking that Lokai/Bele escaped to their dead planet in a shuttlecraft, they ran to the transporter room.

Looks like an amazing project incredibly realized.
Mr. Cushman also came across as confused on the orientation of the shuttle when passengers embarked/disembarked when he talked about getting to the hangar bay. It sounded like he thought that entry was gained from the side of the bay.
However, the original FX typically showed a stock image of the Galileo with its nose pointing starboard, before moving to any live-action scenes using the mock-up, strongly implying, IMO, that the door to the hangar bay was in the forward bulkhead, not on the side.
Examples of this is in Journey to Babel, when Sarek and his party arrive, and The Immunity Syndrome, when Spock departs to study the one-celled behemoth:

The re-pop of the TOS Cut-Away model (1/537 like the refit?) also had his work.
Seeing the warp support pylons hover above the shuttlebay is a bit unnerving, but the shoulder mount wing of the C-130 Hercules is similar, so...
