Given the costs to setup, operate, & maintain the Elevated TrolleyBus system, this seems to make more sense than dealing with traditional Elevated Railways.

This might be the future of Elevated Mass Transit, merging the Bus with a Dedicated Roadway along with dedicated Electrical Power Delivery Infrastructure for the Electric Buses.

Ergo, simplifying the Electric Buses as much as possible.

You can scale the # of Buses on a route Up/Dn as much as you need, far more cheaply than with a Train.

And Bus Manufacturing is far more common than Trains.

It arrived in Roseville, California; near Sacramento, as a part of five whistle stops in California, with two public display days on April 10 and 11 in Roseville, as part of Union Pacific's coast-to-coast steam tour. Admission will be free for Big Boy 4014's public showcases in Roseville, which will take place from 1-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on Saturday near Vernon Street Town Square.

Fireless locomotives were used in and around industrial plants a lot, can run either on compressed air or loaded up with steam from an external source they're pretty usefull everywhere you want to haul heavy stuff but can't anything that causes any sparks or smoke. :)

Decades ago, Model Railroader ran an article on fireless steam locomotives servicing the retorts at a tie creosoting plant. That was the first I'd heard of such a thing.
 
I can't visit this thread without sharing this. So, a few weeks ago when the wildfires were raging at their worst in Ontario, Canada, train crews were caught in the middle of one of the wildfires while stopped and waiting for another train to pass. It's rather insane and thankfully nobody got hurt, but the worker's union will be taking the railway, CN in this case, to court. The person reacting to this is a railroad engineer.
