It's kind of funny how often we've had actors say they will never play a character again, only for them to go back to the character a few years later. Daniel Craig said he's rather slit his own wrists than ever play Bond again after Spectre, and then a few years later he did No Time to Die. Then of course Logan was supposed to be Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's last time play their X-Men characters. And I'm sure there have been others that I can't think of right now.

Whether the animal was killed just for that one thing or not, it still came from animal that was killed, and we don't want any part of that. Veganism isn't just about whether or not the animal was killed, we just don't want to use anything that came about through the murder, abuse, or exploitation of animals in any form. That's we also don't use any diary products in any form, honey, wool, or anything else like that. And really now with so many plant based alternatives it's not really that hard to go vegan, I've barely changed my lifestyle at all since I went vegan. If you just look hard enough you can find a plant based alternative almost any animal based product.
No, some people do seem to really hate vegans for some reason. Personally I've really understood why some people to be so angry about even the idea of not abusing or killing other living things.
