Both of these facts can be true. Creatives spin and pitch and drum up hype, sometimes irresponsibly, and fans run away with things and get notions of it'll definitely happen and everyone wants it just because they do in their heads.

Great. They pitched it. Doesn't change a thing I said. Or you said, for that matter. Why pitch a show you already know doesn't have a chance in hell of being greenlit because it's clear as fucking day that Paramount/Skydance aren't interested in continuing to go down the CBSTrek streaming model road? And after constant interviews about it on sites like Trekmovie and Radio Times in an effort to get fans' hopes up?

Yeah. The prop auction. I wonder where the bridge tulip chairs are going on auction. They arent exactly like TOS but close enough.
