Spock vs. Data: UFC Rules. Who Wins?

Data would pick up Spock and throw him into a wall in 10 seconds. Even if Data let Spock throw the first punch, Data is made of metal. That Klingon Captain in TNG's "The Chase" Headbutted him and went flyin backwards.

I'm kinda surprised that their is debate on this one.

In real life (and yes we're saying Data is real) he would have the advantage hands down. Vulcans are strong but going against a machine that feels no pain and can manhandle you with little problem is not smart.

I still say in "real life" Spock would not fight Data hand to hand because he knows he would lose (it wouldn't be logical) and Data wouldn't fight because he wouldn't want to hurt Spock. Therefore a draw. Instead, the two would probably talk about the illogical emotions of others that put them in this situation in the first place.

Yea you're probably right on that one, but if they were forced to fight....

Yes. Spock is under the Pon Far and Data has a new Ultimate Fighting chip!

Tale of the tape:

Data has superior size, speed and strength.
Spock has experience, versatility and cunning.

I'd bet my money on Spock, despite the fact I can't conceive of how he would win. I just think he would find a way.

(I find it unlikely Data would allow him anywhere near the off switch in a fight. It might have to be something else).

Spock would quickly open Data's flip top head, reprogram his positronic matrix, and have him sing from his Ol' Yellow Eyes album.

BTW

Great avatar. I loved 7 Days.

If Spock and Data are forced to fight, I think Data definitely has the upper hand. However if Spock can hit Data's switch, it's all over.

BTW: I love both of these characters.

A pacifist logician vs. a bullet-timing android with the fighting knowledge of hundreds of species. Yeah, that's a fair and completely unbiased matchup.

What's next, a Borg Cube vs. a Runabout?

The guy with the Pointy Ears...

Batman!

He always wins even if he is not involved. He is just a Bad Ass!

I'm glad the Voyager writers didn't get a hold of this thread when they wrote Tsinkatse or however you spell it. We would have ended up with Spock giving Data a People's Elbow, followed by Data kicking out and finishing the match with a Stone Cold Stunner.
