Oh, dear. I wasn't a fan of that storyline, and I've always hated the idea of organic webshooters. (Why would they be in his wrists? How do they not dehydrate him and drain his body of nutrients? How do they generate enough pressure to shoot out webbing hundreds of feet, which is nothing like how actual spiders' spinnerets work?) But I suppose it could work if they use it as a parallel for Peter dealing with the other changes in his life, his adjustment to the loss of identity.
I suppose it makes sense to include the Punisher in a Spider-Man movie, because he originated as a Spider-Man villain. But by the same token, I hope they keep his role here antagonistic, as someone that Spidey's trying to prevent from killing people, instead of someone he ends up teaming up with.
Was that Laurence Fishburne doing the narration about spider life cycles? Is Bill Foster in this film? I guess it makes sense that an associate of Hank Pym would know a fair amount about entomology.
It bugged me how, twice, they had Peter pull down the front of his mask, and then a second later it was perfectly, seamlessly tucked into the collar all the way around. I could excuse that in a cartoon, but seeing something so blatantly cartoony in live action is off-putting.
