Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

They exist, but are not a legal option in most areas. We're still left with a surplus of unwanted men.
It's less illegal than going on a shooting spree. They could practice talking to a prostitute and get some advice until they build up the confidence and skill to talk to regular women. Some prostitutes even offer the girlfriend experience.

When eating pizza earlier, I almost had a freak show. My soda had been shook up and I opened the cap and it went spraying out up into the air and I used the pizza to prevent it from getting onto my keyboard, which would have been a disaster. I had Pizza soaked with Dr Pepper today.

I would imagine the anger incels feel os that women don't want to have sex with them. A prostitute wont give them the feeling of being wanted or desired.

I don't really understand it though, is it that they feel unable to attract any woman or are they blinded by the unrealistic standards that are set in various forms of media? Do they feel that the women wanting them should look like models?
Check out YouTube videos on the Wall. It will make you chuckle.

Pizza mixed with Dr. Pepper is rarely a bad combo. :)

I have a few

I hate that I've become so apathetic that when the war in Iran began my first reaction was: "yawn, here we go again"

I've been bullied as a teenager, this has messed up my self esteem. To this day I have trouble accepting that people like me as a person. Because my first internship has ended yesterday, everyone was so positive about me. And I'm just like: what the fuck is wrong with you? Why do you like me? It's something that will take time

I was just thinking back to Latin class in high school, and noting how cold and stiff the language sounded to me.
Then I remembered it's a DEAD language.
It does seem as if the ancient Romans deliberately made their language as complicated as possible just to be a pain in the ass for students 2000 years later.

The Monty Python version is better IMO:

I've always considered Latin to be fairly easy. I mean, it has an alphabet, and it is the same as English, so you don't even have to learn a new one. Also, I suppose it largely depends on one's personal linguistic background.
I haven't learned it past the basics, though.

Latin nouns have six cases (with vestiges of a seventh) and five declensions. In modern English, only pronouns have cases -- and there are just three (subject, object, and possessive case). And people still get them wrong!

English is an easy language, otherwise, it wouldn't have become so universal. It is concise and flexible. But I guess it is easier to learn other languages when your native one is a bit more complex.

Is English that easy?

So many words spelt the same but have totally different meanings?

Row
Refuse
Fine
Left

and so on..

Add in that even English speakers often can't cope with there or their or your and you're etc etc

And don't start me on the common use of loose instead of lose

I don't think its ease thats caused the English language to be the defacto world language, it's more likely to be the extent of the British Empire in the past.

And us English speakers don't need to learn foreign languages as people either speak English or if they don't we just talk slowly and loudly because obviously that's going to help

My favorite homonym comes from German. "Umfahren", which can either mean "drive around" or "run over", depending on how you prononce it. :D

Funnily enough, it does help! Most people in places you can travel nowadays know at least some English. And it is easier to understand a foreign language if it is spoken slowly and loudly.
