Will AI character such as Tilly Norwood replaces TV shows and movies to AI only and replaces all human actors?

Yeah, that's not happening. Even before the pandemic pretty much guaranteed a movie's quick release onto a streaming platform, we were getting the DVD/Blu-ray release less than six months after theatrical release. Hell, physical media release being three to four months after theatrical release has been the norm for over fifteen years now.

It was just TV and predicted for 2040 thereabouts. I think that's not a bad prediction for standard over the air TV.
 
I saw that AI generated fist fight between Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise; while much more refined in comparison to a couple years ago, it all still seems slightly "off" and fundamentally sickly looking...

Slop Brad Pitt came across as terminally ill and Tom Cruise seemed weirder than normal (if that's possible).

The Uncanny Valley alarm bells kept ringing in my head...

Well it really scared Hollywood unions. Ai has been here for consumer use since November of 2022. Look at how much it has improved. It will only get better. One day (many of us will probably be dead) someone may just have to tell the computer the kind of story they want. What type of actors etc and it will spit it out. Going further...coupling it with VR and it Just like programming the Holodeck to make a unique Sherlock Holmes adventure... 😂. Dang a lot of Star Trek has come to fruition hasn't it?.. 😂

Sometimes a bit of pithy and outré hyperbole can be more effective at conveying a general sentiment than a thoughtful and reasoned argument. In that spirit, I offer the following joke of an observation: perhaps everyone involved in the design, manufacture, and sale of Funkos should be shot.
 
I own 'some' Funko Pops (less than 10), perhaps half of them were presents but I have on occasion purchased one myself. In particular the Gorn is great, as is the Baron Samedi one. I don't think I've bought one for several years and the last addition to my collection (if you can call it that) was a Candyman one someone got me for my birthday.

Most local comic shops and HMVs are full of the things though and I know people who have shelves of them and I've never got it. Obviously I find a small selection of them cool but the majority are a bit samey, I'm pretty sure with some of them if you didn't keep the box you'd forget who they were meant to be.

Didn't I see something in another thread saying Funko was very close to bankruptcy?
 
Based on Seedance's latest offering, it seems unlikely that writers or actors are under any near-term threat...although the working environments for both will change radically.

Likewise directors and art directors - a feature is a lot more than a mix-and-match collection of moving images.

The number of crew people, artists and support people will be slashed perhaps as deeply as by 90%. Likewise the bloated management layer of most productions. Post processing and effects work will become much faster and cheaper. The entire process of making and releasing films and TV shows will be accelerated.

All this within a decade. Because It's not happening within an industry that's financially healthy or has a bright future outlook right now.
