Sony Spider-Verse discussion thread

I'm pleased to see Li Jun Li, whom I've just been rewatching in the short-lived Minority Report TV series from 2015. (I finally got to see it back-to-back with the movie, which I always wanted to try, since I forgot to rewatch the movie before the show premiered. But the show's been almost impossible to find on video or streaming. I finally tracked it down for sale on Fandango at Home.)

She was also fantastic in Sinners.

Much like Werewolf by Night, I'll be watching it in black and white. Feels like that that better captures the mood and setting, but I also get the appeal in watching it in color.
That had been my thought too but the colour stills look gorgeous too, so I don’t know. I’m unlikely to have time to watch both. Perhaps alternating episodes.

2 different verisons of the show now that is nuts

i am now starting to wonder why they did not do that with fallout in the flashbacks when cooper was a human and earth was still around in the 1950s

Not really, doing a color and black white version of movies like this is becoming pretty common these day. They've done it with Mad Max: Fury Road, Werewolf by Night, and I'm pretty sure there are at least one or two others I can't think of right now.

I don't see why they would, it wasn't really going for that kind of feel. Most of time when they do this kind of thing, it's because they're mimicking a certain style, and Fallout really wasn't doing that.
And the present day stuff in Fallout is still set on Earth, it's just after a big nuclear war destroyed most of the pre-bombs civilization.

Godzilla Minus One Minus Color was a big one.

I can't imagine watching this in color. I'm not sure if they should have given us an option. I guess it's a good option for younger audiences (I mean kids who wouldn't get it).
