Exactly. All of the MCU-blinders in the world cannot erase the number of Marvel Studios theatrical and stream flops suffered across recent years, including one history-making disaster. That's fatigue and in some cases, outright distaste. To say Disney is gambling everything on the next Avengers film would be the understatement of the century.

Sure, Jan.

I love how you keep calling their movies flops and their shows flops when they're still successful. And for the record, "The Marvels" did better than "Joker 2", so I guess White Males don't sell anymore.

"Ramble On" and "The Battle of Evermore", right? ( And "Misty Mountain Hop" if that one even counts. )

Are there any others?

Songs like Stairway to Heaven and Over the Hills and Far Away are often considered Tolkien inspired although there are no "name drops" in them. I used the word "multiple" because I'm not really sure if there are any others and I'm not really familiar with all the songs on their later albums.

You can choose to live in denial, but numbers, and the posted internal complaints from Marvel Studios employees (posted on this board in 2025) do not lie, unlike repeated examples of fanboy self-deception.

You are so consumed with your DC movie hate, which has absolutely no bearing on the MCU failures whatsoever. The MCU's historic failures occurred independent of anything else, The studio is its own problem, so try to embrace reality.

And there it is, you singling out the MCU for abuse above all else. Stop being so narrow minded.

No, what has always been apparent than you are so breathlessly defensive about the MCU / enraged at DC movies, that you dragged the latter in here to defend the failures of the MCU, which have not a thing to do with DC movies. Once again, the posted 2025 complaints from Disney/Marvel employees focused on their content, not comparing it with any other film or franchise. They live in reality and were admitting to a serious problem. If you choose to ignore what the people behind the content were saying, that's your problem.

No, I simply pointed out what a REAL historic failure was.

Which employees, exactly?

Now that you mention it, I guess a case can be made for "there's a feeling I get when I look to the west and my spirit is crying for leaving". :bolian:

Ah, sweet irony. :guffaw:

Remind me who goes out of their way into the other's megathread and relentlessly beats the "your franchise sucks and you're all in denial to think otherwise" while people are just trying to enjoy their films and shows?

For someone who calls himself a "God" your views are very narrow minded.

I can think of one powerfully renowned, endlessly celebrated and sexually infamous actress that can turn it all around for Marvel, after distressing this designer bombshell's own triumphant arrival on the global stage as a star.

Woo her.

Seduce her.

Get the mouse to dump a truck load of greenbacks in her yard.

Melania Trump.

No, no, no, hear me out...

It's not such a stretch, if she can do a Middle English accent, since Morgana Le Fay and Victor Von Doom have been snugly love bunnies for dog years, so why should it be unbelievable that the most evil man in the universe doesn't have a hot piece of Eurotrash in his corner?

:D

And for the record, "The Marvels" did better

The Marvels was one of the better films since endgame, but on the whole they’ve all been disappointing. Perhaps expectations were too high, perhaps the tv shows led to saturation, perhaps the lack of crossovers lost the idea of an interconnected universe (which was always perilous - where was cap or fury in iron man 3 when the president was kidnapped)

I'm sure that DC's popularity relative to Marvel's will continue to improve and expand beyond Batman now that a good and successful filmmaker is at the helm. Snyder was the problem. Just as I expect the Russos to pull some winners out of the fire at Marvel, given their track records.

That's assuming this whole Warner Bros-Discovery / Netflix deal doesn't upend everything.
