So how is this "A Road to Doomsday"?

Google had a couple shitty answers, and then I had an amazing answer that is never going to happen.

Simon Wiliams is a mutant.
Simon Williams is the power source for Doom's Reality Engine in Secret Wars.

"Yawn".

Now here's my epiphany!

Josh Gad is the gad damned Molecule Man.

It's not.

The whole point of the Marvel Spotlight branding is that it's for shows that aren't tied into the big crossover story arcs.

Why? Wonder Man stands wonderfully on its own and the show is better for it.

Sharing is caring.

Almost a hundred productions bolted together into a broad universe wherein there only Wonder Man could have been brought together as it stands, but all future productions get nothing from this lazy stub like it's a freaking parasite. Take, take, take, take!

When Wonderman blew up that warehouse because it's like he had to poo ions, and couldn't find a toilet... Isn't outer space a massive toilet?

If Superman has to discharge waste, which John Byrne took the time to categorically express that he doesn't, Kal-El has to do that business in space or people will die, and the cities sewers will be crushed or jacked up trying to pass indestructible materials.

This was a lot of fun and as someone else said it was nice that they didn’t feel the need to throw in the obligatory CGI showdown or have Simon face off against another superpowered actor. It was more like The Studio (or The Player, if you’re an oldie) in the MCU. Kingsley in particular was an utter joy to watch.

I was thinking a while back, that Wonder Man suffered from the unexpected emergence and success of "The Studio" treading over the same waters.

Simon may not be alone, there are "reasons" why Simon's family may have the same powers, or just powers in general, which may be why they were not terrified of him.

1. The entire family was experimented on by Zemo before Age of Ultron. This connects him to the Scarlet Witch and the Infinity Stones, which is cool.

2. The entire family are aliens (Skrull, Kree or something new?) , and they all have the same identical powerset. Simon's lack of control is probably embarrassing, and going get the lot of them thrown into a camp.

3. The entire family are mutants. That doesn't mean they all have the same powers, but they are probably all having powers that maintain a similar threat level.

4. The entire family are Eternals. Some (most?) Eternals don't know that they are robots, there to grow life on a planet until an ELE reaping, so maybe "I want to be an actor" is just some funnies that the ship is writing into the brain of this creation, to fight the boredom, although that may mean that Simon knows Kingo? This would also mean that if Simon, Eric and his mum are from the same crop as Earth's Eternals that he has been trying to become an actor and failing for 7 thousand years, which may explain his brother's contempt.

5. The entire family are Inhumans. Eric and mum hopped on Simon's back and he flew them down to Earth from the Moon? Again random powers, and the terrigenesis council by design tries to make sure the least worldbreaking powers are awarded to each family with reverse husbandry, losers marry losers, making loser babies but the strong have their babies put in an incinerator (look it up.), so maybe the Williams had to run because Simon was a secret baby and too powerful?

Very nice show. Fun, refreshing, funny and heartwarming story. A big plus point is the running time. 30 minutes is just what I'm looking for since I don't really get to sit down and watch something until after 11:30pm.

He's in the wrong universe.
I Iimagine the real Guy from our Universe went over to his and is surrounded by people like our Guy...
