No, they said they are moving away from doing Trek documentaries.I am a backer but have yet to watch it.
I can say, "Well, at least the documentary got made" unlike a certain fan film. I guess I shouldn't assume we'll ever get an Enterprise documentary.
There's already hours worth of documentaries on the Enterprise blu-rays, so thankfully we won't have to watch 455 Films fumble the ball like Charlie Brown again when it comes to Star Trek.I am a backer but have yet to watch it.

Came here to say this. They've now sent out a backer email with the same details outlined in the Facebook post above.
I’ve watched it because at least I wanted to see what I paid for. It’s not exactly horrible but it pales in comparison to What We Left Behind. It just feels, I don’t know, pointless I guess.I am a backer but have yet to watch it.

Though I doubt it would please people, the podcast 455 producers with Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating is excellent, and they offer lots of fresh remembrances of Enterprise.Regarding Enterprise, the docs on the blu-rays are pretty comprehensive. I don’t think there’s anything that 455 can add to that.
True. The era of expansive special features has been over for a while now. For example, Peter Jackson has been talking about doing a "ultimate edition" Lord of the Rings boxset with all new documentaries but that's likely never going to happen. The studios just don't want to pay for that stuff anymore. Actually, when Warner released a LOTR "Ultimate Collector's Edition" set, not even the previous extras were included. The main selling point for the DS9 and VGR docs was that they were unlikely to get the kind of special features that TOS, TNG and ENT got on Blu-ray. Even if DS9 and VGR get remastered in 4K, I doubt we'd get that level of extras.
Cost aside I fear it's the world we live in now. People can't put their phone down to watch the actual content, so the attention span for extras is probably a very niche audience.True. I don't like the idea of extras being 'banished' to digital only, but hopefully they choose the best stuff for the disc.Update on the To The Journey Disc:
455 Films is nearing the announcement of an official release date. The project has exceeded initial expectations in terms of bonus content. The disc can accommodate approximately two hours of special features, while the current total has surpassed three hours and is expected to reach four to five hours. To ensure all content—including the feature film and extended bonus material—is made available, 455 Films is evaluating the option of offering additional content via digital download.

I got the email too!Wow, I actually got an email for a change. Will wonders never cease?

Can the wealth of extras help offset the annoyance/disappointment surrounding the doc itself? I hope so!![]()
I wish!Do the extras include a version of the documentary with all the Garrett Goes to Space!!! stuff removed and more worthwhile stuff inserted?
I got the same impression from the email. But, they communicated with us! Guess that counts for something.I kind of thought they might go down the "pay extra for a second disc of bonus content" route. That may be an option they are considering.

This exactly. They've thoroughly burned the bridge. If they do go down that route, I'm only paying if and when they have it ready to ship. Not going to throw money at them and then wait around for another five years.
