This fascinating for a lot of different reasons. First, it takes place in the 70s, and hearing the different way that folks spoke back then reminds me a bit of my childhood. We're far more self censoring these days. Second, JMS named a B5 character after this guy. Finally, it's interesting where a lot of stuff got published back in the day.

Anyway, enjoy the interview. It's a good one.

Damn, I'm not sure that accent still exists. :lol:
The speaking cadence is different from what I normally hear today as well.

Of course, some of the folks asking questions have the same tone that I hear at conventions today.

What is nice is that they come across far less self-censoring.
 
Three more science fiction writers of the same era - not the same year, about '82 - with a motley assortment of similarly specific accents...
