NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Everybody in Houston is pissed as hell at CJ Stroud and wants to trade him. LOL. Not sure I blame them.

In any case, looks like I'm a Seattle fan for the rest of the playoffs. Unless the Seahawks lose, then I'll become a Rams fan. I don't want either of those two frigging AFC teams winning the SB. I'm pissed at the both of them right now.

It wasn't all on Stroud. Houston had no run game to speak of, either. But yes, Stroud had a horrible game. Hopefully he gets the chance to bounce back from it.

The offense in general was horrible this year, while the defense was just excellent. Texans had problems everywhere on the offense, line, RB, QB, everybody was bad. We do have some excellent receivers if the QB could ever hit them. Texans have to address the oline and RB areas this offseason if they intend on going any farther. Like most QBs, Stroud can be fixed if he has a decent oline and RB core.

Something happened where Stroud just hasn't been the same QB since his rookie season. Maybe he could end up being a one-year wonder like Don Majkowski or Peyton Hillis or Derek Anderson.

A complete lack of a run game just brings everyone closer to the line of scrimmage and not respecting any kind of play action. There are lots of quality guys who can't carry a team in the playoffs without a running game.

Given how bad the Sabres were with a hands on Pegula, Bills fans should be nervous.

This Keon Coleman thing is crazy. He's still on your team. Based on how I've heard arbitration meetings go, this feels like an arbitration meeting in public. Feel bad for Coleman in a way.

If I have to make a choice between my head coach or general manager after a 12-5 season, I'm going to keep my head coach every day of the week. Though, we don't really know the internal things going on. McDermott probably is in a better place as he doesn't have to put up with a power struggle and will likely be the power at his next stop.

Someone said Jarrett Stidham will be the 64th starting QB this season. The record is 66 in 2022-23. Even Nathan Peterman got a start that season.

10 teams had to start three different QBs this season. Joe Flacco is on the list for two of those teams.

A vibes coach might not be the worst thing in the world for the Bills, as long as they nail the OC/DC hires.

But given Beane's power grab and Pegula's asserting himself more, I fear the Bills Mafia is about to see their team regress back to mediocrity.

That is not a good hire. You already know what you're getting and more importantly what you're not getting. Better to role the dice with someone up-and-coming. If you want a longtime coach, maybe actually get a good one.

If you're upset that Tomlin only won one Super Bowl early and has never been able to repeat it for the rest of his career, why hire another head coach who only won one Super Bowl and has never been able to repeat it for the rest of his career?
