NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Pleased to see the Patriots' season continue. I was worried about that Texans defense, but unfortunately for them, Stroud had probably the worst game of his life. I feel bad, I like Stroud and hopefully he bounces back next year.

I'm worried about Denver's defense, too, but with Bo Nix out (also a shame, especially how the injury happened) I'm a little less concerned. But I'm not going to get too cocky; Maye was a little careless with the ball today, too.

If we manage to get past Denver, I think out of the NFC teams I'd prefer to face the Rams. Seattle's defense is a buzzsaw.

Seahawks vs Rams next Sunday at Lumen Field. Should be an interesting game.

Now that I’ve had the chance to get my heartbeat back in the normal range…

I can’t believe we actually won that game. That last pass in regulation by Williams was stoopid good. Damn!

But then…my new Best Friend Cam Curl comes through.

Stafford did not have a great game, but when it counted most…he’s a goddamn wizard.

Seattle…we’ve played twice this year. The Rams won by 2, the Seahawks won by 1. We are evenly matched.

Lumen Field is a crazy place to play as a visitor. The crowd is maybe the best in football.

Winning 3 road games in the playoffs is next to impossible. We’ll see what we can do.

Tonight, my close personal friend and Hall of Famer Orlando Pace say: GO RAMS!!!

Rams have to play a perfect game because Seattle's defense is no joke. Part of that game last night wasn't just the 49ers just missing so many people to injury, but that Seattle defense was smothering all night long. I would say that's the best team I've seen in the playoffs, but all 3 of the 4 defenses (Rams, Seattle, and New England) in the championship games are no jokes. I expect close games in both of them.

I had a feeling the Seahawks might end up facing their division foes again before the postseason started, and I was right. Like Coach MacDonald said to the team after last night's game, "Same time, next week!" See you at Lumen Field next week, Rams!

This is really the only outcome there could be.

:techman:

Looks like McDermott is out in Buffalo.

Go to the playoffs 8 out of 9 years, get fired.

Couldn't win the big game despite this year having the best shot to do so, get fired.

There is high coaching turnover in the NFL this year.

It's absolutely ridiculous. Some of these organizations need to ask themselves, when they are thinking of firing their highly consistent and successful head coaches, "who do you think you're going to get that will be better?" Most of the time it's a total craps shoot.

And, McDermott didn't turn the ball over 5 times. Buffalo's star QB did that.

Yikes.
