Thankee.

Thanks to Instagram, I know that there's a store in Melbourne, called Play Music and DVDs that sells imported and Region Free DVDs.
I would check with them.
Obviously, yes.David Warner died in 2022 so him coming back was never an option.
Interesting. In my experience, "screener" refers to a promotional copy of a movie, usually given to reviewerse screeners. (that's a movie recorded directly from the cinema screen)

But that was my main point: The whole driving force of the plot was built around this nonsensical MacGuffin and it really took me out of the film.Funny, when I say "The script" I admit that I'm ignoring the central McGuffin of the "permanence code". It made so little sense that I just about ignored it.
I did like the ticking clocks for the Dillinger programs and that conceit worked just enough for me that part didn't bother me. Even if it fell to the classic cinematic folly of stretching the clock well past the point of believability. The ticking clock for the Dillinger programs was actually effective as a plot device. Just as a dramatic device, not because it made any sense. (And is there a big city anywhere where you can get someplace in under 20 minutes?)
Yeah, that's the one thing about Legacy that didn't work for me but I'm willing to look past it.How was Clu going to get his army out of Flynn's basement?)
The only part that was distracting for me was the lack of Cillian Murphy but that wasn't going to ever happen, alas. That and the complete wasting of Gillian Anderson. The Dillinger connection was actually (for me) a little distracting. I wanted to know more about Elisabeth and Ed Jr. and their relationship with their father. But really I just wanted David Warner back.

[Laughing in Grand Moff Tarkin]Obviously, yes.

Yeah, I did not want them to bring back "David Warner". Real guy or no point.[Laughing in Grand Moff Tarkin]![]()
Oh, OK. I thought maybe you thought he was still alive and were mad he wasn't in it.Obviously, yes.
Sadly, no.Oh, OK. I thought maybe you thought he was still alive and were mad he wasn't in it.
Do we know how he felt about Tron? Was it the something he was embarrassed by and refused to have anything to do with it? But with all of the other sci-fi and fantasy stuff he did over the years, at least some which was probably a lot more embarrassing, I can't imagine he would.Sadly, no.
Of all of the "missed opportunities" I'm still baffled that he was not on the Making Of doc that was on the Tron DVD in 2002(ish). It had everybody but him and it was delightfully complete. They could get Boxleitner AND Bridges but they couldn't get David Warner?!?
Big Tron fan here. I loved it. It's not without its flaws, of course, but I honestly feel I like it even more after a second viewing. The score and acting were really good and while I feel Gillian Anderson was indeed wasted, she brought some gravitas to the part. The score was fantastic.
When I saw it in the theater, I thought they had the system turned up too much because it was LOUD. But after watching it on D+ this week, I have to say that I think the movie itself is just louder than normal. My TV volume was set quite a bit lower than normal and I heard it just fine.
