I would take this particular rumor with the entire salt shaker. But it would be fun!

They cut out the whole Serpent Society subplot, eliminating Rosa Salazar's role entirely, and added Sidewinder. They also changed the ending so Ross survived. Those are pretty heavy edits.

There was no Serpent Society subplot filmed to begin with, it was in the first draft of the scripts but not filmed. Rosa was cast but then her part was eliminated before filming began. And there's no proof Ross was going to die at the end either, that's just Internet talk.

This is not correct - regardless of what happened later, people got photos from the original shot where there was a fight scene in a Mexican airport:

When they did the reshoots, she is seen again but with the traditional pink hair - this version appears on a happy meal box!

There was also some form of funeral because Anthony Mackie was filmed as part of the same scene:

The funeral is seen briefly in some of the early teaser trailers so was certainly filmed.

So a few fight scenes were changed, that's not a big thing being altered.

As for that last shot with Sam and the Secret Service Agent, that's a minor alter to the ending. For all we know it's for that Admiral that the Leader killed or anyone else who died.

Again -- the flag draped coffin and the military salute. For Samuel Sterns? If it were for the general, why would Betty be there? Are we supposed to be taking you seriously at this point?

Remember your claim originally was:

Every element of this was wrong.

Rosa has also done interviews about being cut, the director has talked about it as well.

Your views on the funeral stuff are too silly to discuss further.

Yes, they did; they all died.
Not really, yes they all died, but it was all done off hand past tense, and did absolutely nothing to give us any kind of real closure for the characters besides Logan and Xavier, and even Xavier's storyline was really about how he effected Logan and didn't really tie back to any of his earlier appearances. By bringing the characters back in Doomsday, they're getting a chance to actually give us real closure on them and their story arcs from the previous movies.

I could sort see it?

As great as Logan was, I'm still pissed at our it wiped out the rest of the X-Men, so I'm really happy that we'll hopefully be getting a new ending for the characters in Doomsday that will give them more real closure.
Since it came out, I've had a small hope that someone would decide it was an alternate future, and then we'd get a different final story for the FoXmen, and I'm glad that Doomsday might be doing that.

I had thought it was at first too, but then I swear I remember someone associated with the movies coming along and saying that it was definitely 100% the canon fate of the characters from the previous movies.

The thing about Logan is that it essentially wants to be a sequel to the original batch of X-Men films full stop. You can't tell from watching the film that it knows the McAvoy movies even exist.
