Sometimes I really miss this show. I think X-Entertainment summed the series up nicely, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Robert Stack was great.

A personal favorite of mine. It's returning to Spike TV this fall. The old episodes have been re-edited and will be shown and updated once more. Dennis Farina is going to be the host.

It won't be the same without Robert Stack though. Out of all the celebrities, I miss him the most I think.

That theme song gets stuck in my head every so often, and it always takes me a while to reach that "Oh yeah, THAT'S what this song is from!" moment. I loved those cheesy dramatizations of Real Events.

That show was great. I very vividly remember certain scenes, despite the fact that I was only 8 or 9 years old then. That article got it right, the ghost shows were the best! I still remember the haunted TV in a hotel with computer-generated eyes (like, max-headroom style). Totally goofy but still scary as hell to a kid!

The UFO segments always creep me out. Stack and Shatner should have done a crossover

I loved this show along with Rescue 911. It sucks not having Robert Stack though.

I always wondered how a show like this managed to wind up on Lifetime.

How else do you expect Spike to promote the series as "new"? Find a new host/narrator, change some music, re-edit, toss in 5 seconds of "updated" footage and ta-da! New show! At least, that's what they're telling themselves.

Yeah i know. I was just hoping it was the original eps. Ever since Liftetime took them off of their schedule i find myself missing the original big time.

That show was great, and really well done. They made every story believable. Even if it was so outrageous that you couldn't conceive of that happening. You find yourself thinking, "That can happen." But Robert Stack made that show. It'll never be Unsolved Mysteries without him.

I definitely understand this. It's the only way to update it. Still...taking out Robert Stack is taking out the best part.

I remember Unsolved Mysteries and Rescue 911. Two of my favorite childhood TV shows. I was always very fascinated with the things that UM covered, and they always seemed so believable. There has to be a big foot! He was on UM!

Yeah, that's a huge part of what made the show work for me. A lot of the stories were somewhat silly and cheesy, but the show treated them with respect. Robert brought an air to the show that only a seasoned actor brings, and he never acted as if he were bored with the segments or he'd rather be on some other show. He never phoned it in. That atmosphere is what really drew me in, more than anything else.

Plus, the show had a great instrumental theme. :D It honestly was a little creepy.

Well, it did make it worth watching Lifetime.
