The Most Disliked Episode of LDS, Season 2 - 2025 Edition

Welcome to our bi-yearly 'Most Disliked Episode' games! Now that the 'Least Disliked Episode' games hosted by BlueStuff (who inspired me to create these games, so thank you very much for paving the way) have concluded, we can begin the opposite side of that coin.

Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your most favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Season 2

"Strange Energies"
"Kayshon, His Eyes Open"
"We'll Always Have Tom Paris"
"Mugato, Gumato"
"An Embarrassment of Dooplers"
"The Spy Humongous"
"Where Pleasant Fountains Lie"
"I, Excretus"
"wej Duj"
"First First Contact"

Another strong season for LOWER DECKS. There were a lot of great ones here... we get a recurring Tamarian, the return of the awesome Jeffrey Combs to the franchise, and even Sonya Gomez came back! A lot of awesomeness to pick from, but my first save will be what I think is one of THE best episodes of the entire current era... "wej Duj".

The concept of LOWER DECKS is already excellent enough. But we get an episode with THREE MORE ships using the same concept? Genius!!!

The Klingons, Vulcans, and the Borg... from the perspective of their junior officers. This entire episode was just pure gold pressed latinum.

And most importantly, T'Lyn made her debut, who makes such an incredible impression that she becomes part of the Cerritos' crew in season 4.

I think as the years go by, "wej Duj" will be looked upon as a franchise classic. And rightfully so.

I would absolutely have saved wej duj if you hadnt. I still consider it the single best episode of LDS.

The Spy Humongous is my save then as the Pakleds were hilarious.

~ And the Pakled lower decks, too! :D

"First First Contact" is my favourite S2 episode for all sorts of reasons, but mainly because we get to meet Kimolu and Matt in Cetacean Ops!!

And the Rubber Ducky Room is an actual thing!

There are truly no bad episodes here. But I can only save one atva time.

Saving "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie" because it's just a lot of fun, but more importantly, two words: Jeffrey Combs.

He is the only reason needed.

We'll Always Have Tom Paris ia my first save.

It was hilarious seeing Paris again and I loved how geeky Boimler is with his VOY plates.

Where Pleasant Fountains Lie would certainly have been my next vote "my royal guards were trained from birth to skip foreplay" and "did his kingdom come?" were such great moments. Shame we never met the queen again.

An Embarrassment of Dooplers will be my next save, it was great fun with the model building and the hijinks on the starbase.

My last save for this season is "Kayshon, His Eyes Open".

I love the collections in that ship. But more importantly, we are introduced to Starfleet's first Tamarian officer, Kayshon. AWESOME! One of my top episodes in the franchise, "Darmok", is represented here!

No shaka when the walls fell with this episode.

"I, Excretus" is one of my favourite S2 eps for showing how capable Boimler really is, and also how matter-of-fact and almost mundane it is for the Cerritos crew to deal with certain space scenarios that would have had the Enterprise-D imperiled for almost 44 minutes!

"Mugato, Gumato"

It's funny because my off the top of my head answer for the worst episode of the show is actually Mugato, Gumato. It's the only episode of the show I'd say does feel like Rick and Morty.
