As to cover artists, I'm more partial to the late Darrell Sweet, whose covers graced a number of ADF's HC novels, and Michael Herring, who did absolutely stunning cover paintings (mostly after Denslow and Neill illustrations) for the Ballantine/Del Rey MMPB editions of all the canonical Oz books, and (I understand) a number of the TPB editions of the deuterocanonical ones as well.
