Hmmm, I wonder if I was onto something there or is Bale up for an entirely different role?I tend to agree. I’m not sure who they’d cast but as this is Michael Mann directing, rather than the sort of hacks who used to direct belated sequels with a whole new cast (think High Noon 2, Splash Too or Scarlett), I trust him to get it right. Though there aren’t too many young DeNiros out there!
I kinda think Austin Butler might be a good fit for Chris (Kilmer). I guess the guy who played young Pacino in The Offer (another Godfather link!) might be an obvious choice, though if they were more interested in just capturing the energy of Pacino’s performance than having a lookalike, I can imagine Christian Bale recreating his OTT shouty performance.
In fact, it would make sense to complete the trilogy by filming two three-hour films, each a few months apart, and releasing them six or seven months apart in 2029. However, considering James Cameron's style, the second film might not even make it to the first film's 10th anniversary.![]()

Yeah I saw the first Avatar film once at the cinema, never revisited it and haven't seen the sequel.I was after the first, never got the hype
Yes, I could definitely see what he was getting at; it was clearly a swipe at the useless politicians governing us during the pandemic and for the previous few years. They weren’t masterminds, there was no overarching conspiracy, they were just incompetent and greedy rubes. I can also see why people were disappointed, though.I was one of the few that didn't mind the reveal that H was actually a nobody who'd been stooging around for several seasons. I just really hope they don't make it Hastings after all.
Still looking forward to it coming back.

Either way, I’m glad it’s back. Hoping for a few new Tedisms.
