Looks fun. I'm sure it'll turn out the buoy sent out was from themselves in the future.
Nicely done.
Prediction: This episode is a time-wimey thing and the SOS buoy which drew them into the storms is the Enterprise's from after they got stranded in the storm.
But will they find the crack in the event horizon?

It'll be Jeffrey Hunter's Enterprise. That would be amusing.
What surprises me the most about that clip is that Paramount kept it going after the ship gets stranded wherever they are. I wouldn't have shown them picking up the pieces and taking the shuttle down in the preview.

My guess is a variation on The Galileo Seven. I wonder which crew die...

Looks positive in the clip. There's a good amount of action and no gimmicks. Anson Mount in full captain mode is appreciated. I do think that that it's going to be a timey wimey thing but that's been done quite a lot so some more originality would be excellent.
This worries me from Ethan Peck in the panel today - "I think these relationships are helping us find the Spock we end up with in The Original Series. It's so interesting, because he's had these relationships - these will inform his relationship with Kirk." Celia has said that they'll be a big focus on her love life in Season 4 with Bento.
I'd greatly prefer to see the relationships removed and other parts of Spock's development highlighted. I'm not sure how the relationships with Chapel and La'an influence his relationship with Kirk. I assume that they won't make it romantic with Kirk? Now that would be controversial. Still, it's somewhat positive that he refers to the relationships in past tense. Maybe they're ready to leave these relationships behind.
