Spoilers Peacemaker: Season 2 - Discussion and Spoilers

Won't comment too hard on that but if the pacing in the last 3 is messed up we know where the problem started

If you haven't seen the latest episode yet it's probably a good idea to stay off social media for a while.

I laughed out loud when Chris looked at the flag and his reaction.

My only complaint is that it's yet another short episode.

So yeah, fan theories were correct

However i did not expect a Lex Luthor / Nicholas Hoult cameo, looks like Gunn is keeping his universe as tight as possible. I mean it was cool enough that they casually dropped references to events in Superman, it would only be natural that huge things like these crop up in other discussions but this cameo just came unexptected.

I just hope Gunn doesn't fall into the same trap as Marvel to make the DC shows mandatory viewing so one is not completely confused when new characters appear in the movies that are barely explained.

To be fair, it was pretty fucking obvious. I mean, the episode title is "Ignorance is Chris".

Interesting comments on Sean Combs. Won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't listened.

I usually wait until the end of a season to watch something on streaming, but this is the second series I've been watching week to week in many years. This week paid off as, what we've suspected all along was revealed, and Chris's utopia is actually what many (unfortunately) Americans seem to want right now is real in this alternate dimension.

Great job on Gunn for capturing the cultural moment. I know he couldn't have predicted the current mainstream cultural relevance of Kirk's death and its subsequent revelation of the prevalence of white nationalism in the U.S., but this latest episode is definitively timely. What a great commentary on the current moment.

And, in universe, I loved how Chris didn't see it coming. It is such a genuine reaction that white guys, who claim they don't see colour and believe they are good people, don't see the racism that is in front of their eyes every day. As a white man, married and with children who are latino (because LatinX is not a thing in Central and South America), into a multicultural family I admit that I don't see the small things sometimes that my wife and children endure until they point it out to me. This show is doing what great scifi like Star Trek does, and draws attention to what's mundane in the real world.

I knew this episode was coming, but I loved how well it was done.

I don't even know how I realized it. It occurred to me during Chris's motorcycle ride from the house to ARGUS: "But...? It seems..." I felt confident when they buy the hot dog. Stereotypically, street food vendors in movies and TV shows are never white (I don't know if this reflects reality in the US). That's when I knew there was something strange.

How does Hoult gunn appear in peacemaker.i thought the series was tied to the snyder universe
The first season was set in the former DCEU, the current one in Gunn’s new DCU. And the events of the first season have been folded into the DCU except for the few elements that were DCEU-specific (e.g., the appearances of Miller and Momoa as Flash and Aquaman).
