Anyway, it's actually a decently sci-fi "advancement of the species" kind of idea that humans would become comfortable enough with sex that it would be actually taught like you teach driving or manners.

Given how bad at it most of are when we're young, it sounds like a terrific idea to me.

I would love to see another crossover episode. The recent release with Kirk and Spock from OTOY has got me thinking about all sorts of possibilities, and it was a thread about a possible Enterprise animated series that got me thinking about this.

I would love to finally get some concrete facts about the Romulan War. Barring the approval of a TV movie ala Section 31, SNW seems to be the most likely place to get that. So, a crossover with Enterprise, with the season 5 refit, using OTOY tech to allow the original actors to play their characters presented at the same age they were 20 years ago, with a minimum of post-production cost.

A fanciful idea? Sure. But, why not?

I can't say I'd hate the idea. Even just having the Enterprise crew as they are would be ok with me, but seeing a few brief moments from the Romulan War would be quite something.

Now with "A space adventure hour" being released, this episode was certainly way more of ANOTHER type of "special episode":

Actors playing actors.
Specifically of the parody/meta commentary type.

But the real fucking kicker in regards to this thread - and I know I'm late here - is this one:

I want to see an episode where La'an is recruited back as a temporal agent alongside Gary Seven, accidentally wiping the Federation's recent interactions with the Gorn from the timeline as well as all memory of herself.

She will, of course, return for further secret missions in every iteration of Trek for the next 30 years.

I'd actually prefer no more gimmick episodes. There were too many this season, and I fully admit this is just my own preference.

One or two in a 25 episode season is ok. I think we had 4 in a 10 episode season.

I couldn't care less about another "special episode". Hated the musical episode, the Space Adventure even more... I will say, I loved the Lower Decks crossover a lot. But I'm so very much not looking forward to "that" season 4 episode.

A holodeck episode? Great. Time Travel? Singing? Crossovers.

All great. Just give me some normal episodes too.

In Season 3 we had

* Q
* Zombies
* Holodeck
* Documentary
* Species-Swap

Individually I loved both Q and Documentary episodes (and the crossover and musical last year - despite the latter being nowhere near the quality of the Buffy musical episode, but so few are, probably only once-upon-a-time imo)

If we had 15 other episodes that would feel smoother. I just think there were too many this season.

I always wanted a holodeck crossover episode, and SNW could do it.

Show A, the SNW cast are just guest stars.

Show B, the crew are LARPing on the holodeck and of course it all goes wrong and the ship is in danger because the baddie from Show A has done a Moriarty or similar, and have to team up with Show A's holographic heroes to save the day.
