MLB 2025: The A's are Playing Where Now?

All I can say is that I had pulled out my solid black Reds hat over a week & a half ago in mourning cuz I seriously thought their chances were slim and none being 6 GB and Slim had his horse saddled up. But Jeeze Louise here they are still w/ a shot at it. Viva Tito!
And a big ole thank you to the Nats, I've been following baseball & the Reds since I was a tyke and I've NEVER seen a catch like Young made, just Amazin'.

With the season coming to an end in the next week, somehow my Cubs still have (tied for) the 4th best record in the MLB.

Now, pre-ASG it felt like that position was warranted, they were playing really good baseball then. But the way they've been mediocre at best since the ASG, it makes me wonder how the entire league is playing this so-so. There's usually one or two teams streaking way ahead of the pack.

PCA's 1st half/2nd half stats really mirror the entire team's level of play. This guy was on fire, and either every team adjusted, of he just ran out of gas. It was fun watching him in the first half either way.

2nd half is practically Mendoza-line.

At some point I fell asleep and in the last 10 games Cleveland is 9-1 and Detroit is 1-9 and right now the Tigers and Guardians are separated by 1 game at the top of the division and right now they're playing for the division lead.

Cleveland is my 2nd favorite o-HI-o MLB team, the Tigers hold a special place in my heart not only for the history of the club but also because Sparky Anderson managed them after Dick 'Dum-Ass' Wagner fired him and proceeded to tear down The Big Red Machine

. I always kept a closer eye on Dee-troit after that and celebrated when they won it all in '84.

I had no idea the Tigers were in such a freefall but now Cleveland is in first.
It gets worse. The Tigers are now only 1 game ahead of Houston for the final Wild Card spot.

There's a greater than marginal chance they miss the playoffs entirely.

EDIT: I Just checked. Houston is up 11-1 in the 8th.

Tigers and Guardians are about to kick off. It's the MLB.tv Free Game of the Day, FYI, if anyone wants to watch :) I'm going to put on the Tigers/Guardians on the big TV and then NFL on the tablet when that starts, then when the Cleveland game is over I'll put the NFL game on the big TV and then the tablet will get anything left of the Cubs/Mets game, or the Seattle/Colorado game when that's all that's left.

I thought it was important you all know that.

We trust you'll keep us up to date as we worship at the altar of the NFL. ;)

If you don't have MLB.TV, today's free MLB.TV games on Amazon are Tigers at Guardians and Red Sox at Blue Jays.

Cool, I will read that when I'm not watching three games at once and eating a Taco Beuno party burrito.

Man life is good.

They just announced that the Seahawks will play at 1:05pm, Sunday, October 5th at Lumin Field, followed by the Mariners Division playoff game at 5pm at T-Mobile Park.

The Seattle Mariners broadcasts will be moving to the MLB Network starting in 2026 as ROOT Sports is shutting down at the end of the year.
The move will not affect the current broadcast schedule.

MLB definitely has an RSN problem.
