The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

I know there’s been talks of an iCarly movie to wrap up the series after it was canceled. Can you tease anything about that?

The script is almost finished and it looks like we’re gonna be filming it early next year, so I’m really excited. I think the biggest challenge now is gonna be casting the character that’s gonna be the mom because that’s a character I don’t think any of us ever really thought we were gonna meet within that universe, so we just really want to make sure we get it right.

I really don't want to see her do nudity. I have seen "School of Rock" to many times and she will always kind of be a little kid in my memory.
I felt the same way about Anne Hathaway. I watched the Princess Diaries with my kids and then to see her go that direction with some of her films as an adult gave me a bit of an ick factor. I think it would be the same with Cosgrove. Luckily, I'm not a rom-com fan, so I can avoid that.

There is no nudity in the film, only the muscular body of the lousy male actor in the lead role is visible.

Universal has targeted August 6, 2027 for release of their planned Miami Vice remake. It will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, written by Dan Gilroy, be filmed in IMAX and take place in the 80s.

Noah Centineo (no, me neither) looks set to be the new or young Rambo.
In discussing this and the movie about the struggle to get Rocky made, Stallone reveals that he once pitched a Rambo prequel in which he would’ve been de-aged:

George Miller wants to do a Mad Max: The Wasteland tv series that would focus on Max during the events of Furiosa.
I've developed a high bar of personal interest any show has to clear to get me to watch nowadays simply because I don't have time to watch everything that I'd like to. I would totally make the time for a George Miller Mad Max show.

Sleepaway Camp being remade. The original writer/director is coming back.

I doubt it will be good. It will likely be to self aware. What made the first movie so good is it's weirdly progressive in ways I don't think it knew it was being progressive and of course it is filled with lots of 80's cheese that you just can't duplicate.

Explain. (Boldly.)

I feel like if I explain some aspects it might be a spoiler for those who haven't seen the movie. I know it's a old movie but I think it is obscure enough that young people might not have seen it. Any youngsters here should go see it if you haven't. It's a good movie.
Perhaps you might shoot me an e-mail. I can be reached at 555-1234.
