This isn't a free speech issue. It's an at will employment issue. But, even if that was what he meant, it would still be free speech.

If you do something lame and stupid that embarrasses your bosses, and they haul you in to a meeting and tell you to cut it out, and your response is "fuck that", you're basically asking to be fired. That's how employment works. Most people working in the US today would be fired immediately if they were caught disrespecting one of the sacred castes of progressivism.
A job as a talk show host is not a human right.
Lying about the shooter is indeed offensive, and presumably potentially embarrassing to ABC executives. ( Though with Kimmel's history of douchebaggery, who knows? )Kimmel didn't say anything embarrassing or offensive.
Kimmel's ratings were in free fall and the Colbert show was losing money, not making it.Only difference is that Kimmel and Colbert are not embarrassments to the networks they work for. They bring/brought high ratings and multiple awards, and the companies make lots of money from them.
I can't help but notice you completely ignored my Kilmeade point so I think it's safe to ignore everything else you say at this point.Lying about the shooter is indeed offensive, and presumably potentially embarrassing to ABC executives. ( Though with Kimmel's history of douchebaggery, who knows? )
“At this point” seems an unnecessary qualifier.so I think it's safe to ignore everything else you say at this point.

Don't you think this ill-advised propaganda campaign is past its sell-by date by now? Are you somehow hoping for a win if you just hold out long enough? The true leanings of the shooter (which are still not settled)

By all means, post the exact quote in the thread to prove us all wrong. He did. Words and their meanings, so hard!
I'm disgusted that I'm put in the position of agreeing with Cruz! It's quite telling where even someone like Ted Cruz points out how dangerous the FCC's actions are.
