I thought for sure that was a 1/537 in ST6 TUC. It just struck me as being a bit off.

I thought for sure that was a 1/537 in ST6 TUC. It just struck me as being a bit off.

I'm sure the little one was used somewhere in the movie. My first guess, the shot of the ship flying away from spacedock, seems to be the hero model, but it's possible the second half of it flying towards Khitomer was the small model, but it's too small in frame to be sure. I'm pretty sure this one is the small model, the lights are too bright and the windows on the rear of the saucer don't seem to be lit:



I've long thought about doing a blog post cataloging the changes to the TMP Enterprise across the six movies, ID-ing shots where the little one is used would also be interesting.

That would be a good read.

In ST6, it looks like the saucer of the 1701-A got holed.

I don’t think you could have accomplished the effect as well with an AMT (no great loss though).

How far back did DeBoer hulls originate?

There may yet be untold secrets….I didn’t know the TMP set was lost to a freak landspout until a couple of years ago.
